Underwear exposed on stage

This is kind of silly, but it was really embarrassing at the time.

When I was a high school freshman, I was in a class and we were studying Roman mythology. We were going to do an evening of Roman plays, depicting different scenes from the myths.

Three of the guys (me being one of them) were wearing tunics. (Basically, miniskirts, if you haven't seen a Roman tunic lately.)

In one scene, there was some sort of combat, and I was stage fighting with another character, and I am to lose the fight and fall on the stage. So that's what we did.

Of course, when I fell, I didn't realize it, but I fell in a way that my tunic flipped up, and I was laying on the floor with the butt-side of my tighty-whities fully exposed to the audience, which was comprised of about 150 of my classmates.

I didn't even know what had happened, but I heard everyone laughing. And finally after a few seconds, my combat partner from the scene leaned down and whispered something like, "Pull down your tunic!" Then I realized. So as I'm laying there playing dead, I reached around and pulled my tunic down... to a great deal of laughter. The scene went on, and that was that.

And yes. I got a few comments afterwards. And yes, I turned red each time.

Yes, high school. I don't remember if it was fall or spring, so yes. Either 14 or 15. There are probably photos of the event somewhere. I'm not aware of anyone having snapped a photo of the undies, however. Thankfully.

There was one girl in particular who I kind of liked and she came up to me after and said, "Nice underwear, Tim." (Not my real name.)

Interestingly, I didn't think there was anything funny about tighty-whities at the time. It's just what I wore. But apparently everyone else found the humor in it.
