Recently I performed a scan on a 17-year-old patient complaining of soreness in his right testicle. Now, I'm not the doctor, just the radiologist, but I suspected a case of testicular torsion. Turned out to be true and they just barely managed to save the testicle which blood flow was partially cut from.Mattheus wrote: Thu Jan 01, 2026 5:34 pm I also remember something more recent very well—about six years ago. My cousin had a testicular torsion when he was 13 and had to have surgery. After the surgery, my aunt had a brilliant idea so he wouldn’t have to be completely naked from the waist down: she cut holes in the front of his loose boxers lol and made him walk around in front of us like that.
Patient was advised to wear a type of jock strap supporter for a week. They would not have made the boy go around exposed.
