I suffered from a bladder infection during my sophomore year of high school. Oddly enough, it did not cause bedwetting as I would wake up during the night when my bladder was getting filled. There was a distinct stinging sensation which helped to wake me up. Plus I drank no fluids 3 hours prior to bedtime.

My challenge was daytime incontinence at school. When the stinging/urge to urinate came over me, there was almost no time to get to the Boys Room. So, I wore adult diapers to school for a week until antibiotics cleared up the infection. I wore boxer-briefs over the diaper to attempt to conceal my condition and was mercifully excused from PeD classes where changing into gym shorts/shirt was required.

Suspicions arose, nevertheless, among my classmates. Especially when sitting down at a desk or getting back up, an unpreventable 'crinkling' sound would inevitably occur.

An older neighborhood boy initially diapered me, showing me how to do it myself. So, I was spared the embarrassment of having a family member having to diaper a naked Nick. Thank goodness for small favors!

Nice I was told to not drink fluids I think 2 hours before but sometimes temptation got the better of me. By 12 I was dry but my older cousin dared me to down a 2 liter not to long before bed when I was 13. Needless to say that was a very bad idea but had the exact effect I think my cousin was looking for.

I have heard of similar situations even more long term ware. The boxer-briefs was an interesting idea. Did it provide the coverage you were looking for? Changing would not have been fun and it is likely u would have had to go during class I think you specially if you were hydrating which I know our coaches reminded us constantly. Plus the crinkling while running would have been pretty obvious. Did any when ever question you about the noise in class? Did anyone know? If so were they cool about it or did they try to embarrass you.

How old was the dude that diapered u? How did that come about? A family member change you’? Did he ware also knowing how to do it to himself. I was never allowed to self diaper I was told it would not have a good seal. My cousins did the small “favor” of changing me when he was around though I am not sure how much of a favor it was since he liked to tease me.

The older boy who initially diapered me is a former neighbor named Barry. He is several years older than me and was our Church Youth Group leader during my adolescent years.

Barry is prominently featured in the semi-fictional story "Nick's Sports Physical" which I believe is on Page 5 of the ENM forum. He and I are both currently in the medical field, he as a Registered Nurse and me as a Radiologist in nearby facilities. Occasionally we meet up and go out for a beer together.

I only was on the track team in 11th & 12th grades so did not have the infection then (fortunately). Not sure what it would be like running track in a crinkly diaper. Normally I wore compression shorts as underwear running track. Initially coach recommended we wear jock straps, so I bought one but rarely used it. Guys would razz me about the jock strap.

I believe that there were suspicions during the week I was diapered as a sophomore. Definitely got a few strange looks in classrooms when I would slowly & carefully arise from the desk. My best buddy David Perkins knew but he didn't blab.
