New swimming trunks

This story is based on a true episode in my life but is exagerated a little and may develop further into my imagination, hence the reason for putting it in this section. It takes place when I was 14 years old. At that time I was small for my age in all respects but had grown a little in the past year.

I was about to start having some swimming lessons and so I needed a new pair of swimming trunks. There was a boy's outfitters (as it was called in those days), fairly close to where I lived and so the owner was well known to my parents as he had supplied most of the clothes for myself and my brother over many years.

It was arranged that I would go to him after school one day to buy some new trunks. I used to cycle to school and I was to stop off at his shop on the way home. I arrived at his shop just before 5, his normal closing time. It was September and still quite warm and I was hot after having cycled almost 3 miles from my school.

The shopkeeper, Mr Smethers, was expecting me and suggested I sit down and get my breath back and he would get me a glass of orange squash. He told me to take off my school blazer and tie whilst he fetched the drink.

The shop was fairly small but I was able to put my blazer and tie over the back of the chair (there was only 1 chair in the shop) and put my satchell with my school books on the floor. The shop didn't have a fitting room but he used his downstairs storeroom as a place to try on clothes.

He said that he had selected a pair of trunks that he thought would be suitable which he said were a new addition to his stock as it also came with a matching t shirt (which was quite fashionable at the time). He told me to go down to his storeroom and try them on whilst he closed the shop and he would come and check on me once I was changed.

I went down to the storeroom which was quite large and had mirrors on one of the walls. There was a chair where I could put my clothes and so I took off my shirt and my trousers, and shoes of course and put on the t shirt and trunks.

Since this is based on a true episode, go with what makes you remember the incident so well. Embarrassing moments come in a variety
of forms. Exaggerate and embellish the story...and maybe surprise me with something I haven't seen before. So far I'm intrigued.

Part 2

The t shirt was a very tight fit and the trunks seemed OK. Mr Smethers came down the stairs and said that he had now closed and locked the shop so we wouldn't be bothered by any other customers.

He looked me up and down and stood very close to me. He put a couple of fingers of his hand under the hem of my t shirt and ran it around the edge saying that it seemed to fit alright but it might be worth trying the next size up. He told me to take it off so that I could try the larger size.

As I took it off he suddenly started laughing, saying: "Oh you silly boy Jonnie, you've still got your pants on. How can you try on swimming trunks when you've got those white pants on. Come on, take them off and try the trunks on properly."

Its true that I had kept on my white y fronts and of course they did poke out from the edges of my trunks, which I could now clearly see when I looked in the mirror but I hadn't thought that it would make much difference for checking the size. But Mr Smethers thought differently.

I was waiting for Mr Smethers to leave to allow me to take my trunks and pants off.

Part 3

"Come on Jonnie, we haven't got all day. Now take off those pants and try the trunks on properly," said Mr Smethers as he gathered up my shirt and trousers that I had left on the chair in front of me.

I had little option but to pull down the trunks, and my pants came down at the same time. I had thought to turn around so that I was not facing Mr Smethers but that would have meant I was facing the large mirror and so whichever way I faced, he would see all of me!

Once I had them at my feet, Mr Smethers leant forward and took both the trunks and my pants, meaning that he was just inches away from my almost naked body (I was still wearing my socks).

"Lets untangle these for you Jonnie," he said. It was true that in taking the trunks and pants off together they had become rather intwined.

I just had to stand there, fully exposed in front of him, whilst he separated the 2 garments. This seemed to take him far longer than I thought was necessary and he did keep looking up at me and smiling saying: "Good job we're all boys here, ay Jonnie?"

Eventually he handed me the trunks whilst he collected the rest of my clothes and put them across the other side of the room.

These chapters are a wee bit on the short side.
It's like getting to see a tv show, but only two minutes at a time.
