Re: Pants or boxers
Now boxer-briefs exclusively. Until about age 13 white briefs because they were (and still are) less expensive. My mother started letting me transition away from the briefs mostly because I now had to change clothes in Physical Education class lockerrooms in Middle School. White or even colored briefs were definitely unfashionable by then.

Re: Pants or boxers
I have worn either boxer briefs or trunks for about the last decade starting when I was 12 or 13. Regardless of style I would recommend Mack Weldon underwear. They are expensive but the most comfortable underwear I have ever owned.

I also made that change a few years ago once I had my own place and was able to actually implement what I preferred. My thighs are thick enough that wearing underwear can easily be uncomfortable, and my autistic sensory issues mean that the riding up my legs was always too painful to endure for very long. I did try briefs, but I had too much difficulty containing any boners as it goes from pointing downwards to pointing upwards and creates a bulge that is far too conspicuous to be decent. By not wearing underwear at all, I’m actually able to hide them better by just wearing my trousers high enough to be above the tip!TeenFan wrote: Wed Feb 28, 2024 2:13 pm I grew up wearing the now much maligned Tighty-whities. Then in my twenties I switched over to Jockey Briefs. I never got into wearing
boxers, but I have tried Boxer-Briefs and those are okay.
Early in my thirties I stopped using underwear completely; been mostly going commando ever since.
Boys can have that situation too if they’re wearing white undies that will become more translucent when wet!TeenFan wrote: Wed Feb 28, 2024 2:13 pm I never write about being seen in underwear as being an embarrassing thing. I guess that's because, by the time I was 20, I was comfortable enough to wear a Speedo swimsuit in public, at the lake or a city pool. The exposure of one's undies in a fictional setting for me is the beginning, not the end of a story. If undies is all that is shown… it's all ho hum in my opinion. Of course there can be more entertaining ways to present
underwear. I can see how a girl, wearing cotton panties and a small bra would be concerned if she got completely wet, the undies revealing much more than when dry.
I’m much the same here. That’s why I tend to read stories such as those on here rather than use much visual stimulation of this kind: The stuff that’s on YouTube or TV/movies always stops just before the big reveal, and actual porn skips that part of the process entirely and jumps to the stuff that doesn’t interest me as much. My interest lies primarily in the actual stripping of people all the way down to nothing at all. The closest I can get from seeing people in their underwear is the bulge/shape/size!TeenFan wrote: Wed Feb 28, 2024 2:13 pm I suppose seeing other people in their underwear is a bit of a fetish for some. If the undies don't come off, I consider it a waste of reading time, but that's just me.
(Even what media does show people stripping all the way uses something that prevents us from actually seeing the goods, whether that be a cushion, a scenery censor, steam, or just never pointing the camera at the relevant regions when the characters are completely naked!)

For me, it's not whether the undies are on or off or somewhere in-between, it's all about the shapes, angles, and composition.TeenFan wrote: Wed Feb 28, 2024 2:13 pm I suppose seeing other people in their underwear is a bit of a fetish for some. I've seen photo sequences where one picture is off-putting but the very next one pushes my buttons and it always comes down to how a piece of clothing bunches here, or getting a peek of something there. I've seen pictures of people who are not conventionally attractive but pull off incredibly sexy poses, and people who look like they could be on a magazine cover but are posed in ways that don't take advantage of their body shape.
From a story perspective, just having someone in underwear doesn't do much on its own. But if that draws the right kind of attention to the character's exposure, it doesn't necessarily have to go further.

Briefs, I’ve tried boxers and own a few pairs but I prefer feeling a bit more ‘secure’ down there
