back in the day in rural region's parents had a way of punishing their children by stripping them naked and they had to hold ears while standing.

Do you have any idea whether that just involved them doing whatever they would normally be doing, only naked? Or did they have to stand an be seen, or something?

I get the concept of this, but thinking back on how I hung around the house in briefs and maybe a shirt up to nearly age 12, having to be naked really wouldn't have been particularly traumatic unless we had company or I had been made to assume a particularly embarrassing pose.

I was only in that college for one year, until I dropped out & went to a medical school learn my current occupation (Radiologist).

If there wasn't any special attention called to what was going on, I can imagine that wouldn't have been too bad especially if it started well before his tweens, by the time it might otherwise have been a problem it may well have felt "routine". Especially if it was couched in that flavor of Catholicism your comment suggests.

Well, the first time Mark caught me he was supposed to be in class, but the professor had called in sick. So he came back to the room & I was in my bunk bed under the covers doing it. He didn't leave just stood there and said that what I was doing was sinful. But he kind of laughed when he said that. It was pretty obvious that he didn't take the Catholic Church's stance on masturbation very seriously.
