Ever wonder why CFNM is so common in media?

Post by lovestosplooge »

Is it writers being lazy and just using a common comedy trope because they couldn't think of anything else? Or did they find it a turn on?

It was in so many tv shows and films when I was growing up. Watching so much of this when I was young is why I think I have this kink (plus a few experiences).

I would read Simpsons comics, and one writer in particular would always have Bart humiliated either naked or in his underwear. Even as a kid, I wondered if he wrote them because he found it funny, or he found it hot.

Obviously we'll never know what's going on in people's minds, but I find it hot to think writers were purposely putting boys into CFNM situations for their shows and movies, just to get themselves off.

Yes.

Whether any particular writer had any other motivation is anybody's guess.

It's culturally considered funny almost universally and it's low hanging fruit.
Even a lot of live action shows and movies simply throw in a scene of a naked boy getting bathed or running around nude or skinny dipping simply because it's low effort for them and the audience will enjoy it.

Traditionally less controversial indeed.

Nude scenes are an easy way to trigger a shock response (comedy, erotic, or otherwise) because nudity is so taboo. There are tons of CMNF and CFNM scenes across TV shows, including an absolute ton of them in children's shows. You can't even throw a rock at a pile full of anime disks without hitting at least one series with a CMNF bathing scene of some kind (usually with the boy getting in trouble/hit even if it wasn't his fault).

The one reason why CFNM is slightly more common than the other way around in the modern era is because society treats female nudity as inherently sexual/sexy while male nudity is inherently awkward/funny. Show runners can get in controversy or earn a pervy reputation if they do things too weird involving female actresses/characters, especially underage girls (Looking at you, Dan Schneider). Back in the 90s and 2000s though, half of TV as a whole involved fanservice scenes for the female cast, even in kid's shows. This included CMNF nude scenes (usually without showing anything, of course).
