So what’s your life like in the next few years after you do a scene like this? This wasn’t an obscure movie. Not a blockbuster like Rosemary’s Baby but people saw it. Probably a lot of people you know.

For next several years you’ll know that all your teachers saw it. Maybe there’s an attractive teacher who you have a crush on and you’ll know that when they see you they’ll picture you in the bath.
What about the other students? They have probably seen the movie.

And you’re still acting. Most certainly your costars and the crews on your future projects saw it. It’s a Roman Polanski movie!

This will all go away in seven or eight years. It’ll be the past and you were a kid. But when you’re still that kid it must be extremely embarrassing.

On the one hand it's entirely possible that none of his peers knew he was in the film. I'm sure he wouldn't exactly be broadcasting his role in this film but while there's simple ways around it, children wouldn't have been technically allowed to view it nor would children have been lining up to see this film. In fact, hardly anyone went to see it as it was a box office bomb. Even Mark Dightam was technically not allowed to view the film when it was released because he was under 15.

But imagine if one of them did. Imagine as he entered middle school one of the girls told him she saw him in the film, and he had to look her in the eye if he was even able to after hearing that and hope she wouldn't be malicious and tell other kids. Just by saying 'I saw you in Macbeth' says so much more than the specific words of that sentence. She would be saying she saw everything at a very sensitive time in his life. It may never have happened but the fact that even the possibility was set up feels wrong.

Also, high schools all over the world still show this specific version all the time. Assuming the film was watched from beginning to end, there's no telling how many people have seen this boy completely naked. The thing I still can't get past is the specific director being who he is. I have to question his intentions with this 'artistic' choice he made given 5 or 6 years later he was arrested for sexual abuse of a minor.

The actor later said doing this scene did not traumatize him. He was actually comfortable with it. He said he walked about the set
completely naked between takes. The actor said he was fourteen, and was chosen due to looking much younger.
The scene did cause some controversy when the movie came out. This was back in 1966 when few people had seen what movies were to
become during the end of the 60s through the 70's for casual nudity.

This scene would be shocking if filmed today, especially when the mom tells the boy to jerk off out in the open, that it would be
preferable to filthy secret jerking off.

It probably was not seen by that many people. It is possible kids as school did not recognize him as the actor in this movie.

You’re probably right that not many of the kids he knew saw the movie at the time. I’ve always just wondered what it’s like for people who have appeared nude in a movie after it’s come out.

Years ago I read an article about the movie Under The Skin (2013). It's a weird artsy movie, Scarlett Johansson shows her beautiful body, and there's a lot of CFNM with her luring in men and they get naked for her.
In the article Adam Pearson, a man with a condition that gave him a deformed face, described how he saw the film in theater with his friends and they didn't know he was in it, and how they were surprised when they not only saw him appear in the film, but also saw him strip completely naked full frontal on the screen.

I’m familiar with Under The Skin but for some reason I’ve never watched it. Now, I think I will.
Adam Pearson has a great attitude about the movie and how people reacted to it. And I’m glad he shared his experiences concerning his on screen nudity.

my english is weak but i will try to explain
so this is very common in india pakistan and bangladesh for muslim boys
in past i use to live next to a muslim famly. i saw this with my own eyes, neighbour kid he was 7/8 years old he was forced stripped nude infront of everyone present including his family member, friends. neighbour and even many were invited to watch him. he was bathed like this in open even though he was also crying. then followed traumatizing thing he was Circumcised i didnt know about that back then.
After taking to my muslim friend i got to know it was must common thing for them.
very traumatizing for me as i was also just 12 years old and i saw two grown men forced stripping a child infornt of everybody.
