However, this is an interesting question, as i did consider whether to have him stay, and show what would happen. but i decided against it, because i wanted to move the story on, and cover more days. i think in the 59 chapters i have done so far, i have only covered a week
To answer you question, i have quite a few group tasks or tasks that can involve those watching. If Matt had stuck around, it was almost guaranteed that he would have at least been in danger of losing his clothes or at least some of them. Maybe a game of tag is pulled, or maybe one of the face cards, i think there is a photo one, where someone has to ask other members to give up an item of clothing.
Given how easy going and daring Zach is, and given there are a few girls in the backgarden, i could see a card draw, turning into a girl vs boy team thing. So there were quite a few possibilities, and of course, there would have been the chance, nothing bad happened, and Matt just got to see more people (in this case maybe some girls) will little to nothing on.
But i think it is safe to say, he made the right choice to leave.
In my mind, i have been thinking about showing that being around when card draws are made, might not be as fun and safe, as someone may think, but have yet to really put that into the story itself.
