Growing up in Mexico
Growing up in Mexico
As I mentioned in the first post I made I am a young man who grew up in a very rural area of Mexico, a place rife with strange beliefs and customs. I hope this doesn't bother anyone here, but I was born in 2006; I am well aware that while many of these things—which were common elsewhere before the 1980s—have largely disappeared in most countries, they remain very common in Mexico today. Well, I want to share a few of these unusual customs with you, starting with the punishments I and other boys my age used to face. I was a pretty spoiled kid; as I mentioned in a previous post, I used to be very rude to girls. This led to frequent spankings—mostly from my mother, though I also got them from my aunts, my grandmother, and even a neighbor (I had messed with her daughter, and she wanted to teach me a lesson). Strangely, the spankings were administered while completely naked; I don't know if it was meant to increase the humiliation, but every time, I was forced to take off even my shoes, so the spanking happened in the buff. One specific instance stands out: I was playing with friends on a dirt lot—we were kids, so we ended up getting absolutely filthy. When I got home, my mother was furious; she stripped me naked and spanked me. The worst part was not being allowed to get dressed afterward. In Mexico, we have these stone structures called *fregaderos*—outdoor washbasins that are often communal—where we scrub our clothes. My mother forced me to wash everything I’d dirtied and bathe right there in the washbasin. The only dirty items were my pants and shirt, but my mother wasn't going to make it easy; she took away my underwear until I finished washing the rest, leaving me wearing nothing but my shoes. So there I stood, wearing only shoes and desperately washing my clothes—not to mention my sister, whom I didn't get along with very well, constantly teasing me. Since the washbasin wasn't inside the house, some mothers and small children saw me, too. The mothers just smiled; they knew I must have done something wrong. They didn't usually stick around to watch, though—they weren't going to let a small child stare at another naked boy for long. But compared to my grandmother, my mother was actually quite kind; when my grandmother dished out punishments, she used even more terrible methods. In Mexico, it’s a fairly common practice to rub chili on children to teach them a lesson. If you were lucky, they’d put it on your hands so you wouldn’t rub your eyes—or, for boys, so you wouldn’t touch your private parts (since that’s often considered rude). If you weren’t so lucky, the chili would be applied to a more "sensitive" area during a spanking to intensify the redness and burning sensation. And if you were really unlucky—especially if your punishment was for bothering girls—well, mothers and grandmothers would apply the chili to the area you can probably guess. And yep, that happened to me a few times, but I’ll save those stories for part two. By the way, please forgive my poor English; I’m using translation tools to share this story, so if you spot any errors or anything reads confusingly, feel free to let me know.

I'm assuming girls got similar punishments, just without any nudity?Dotka wrote: Mon Aug 31, 2026 12:08 pm As I mentioned in the first post I made I am a young man who grew up in a very rural area of Mexico, a place rife with strange beliefs and customs. Did your mom and grandmother allow your sister and cousin to tease you about it?
Did these continue into your teens?
Given your age, were you worried about your mom, grandmother, or others recording you getting punished naked?

Re: Growing up in Mexico
You would be 20-years-old currently; up to what age did these naked spankings occur in public in the yard where the village girls & women could readily see everything? I suppose you got a good deal of later teasing knowing they had seen your indignity. Did you usually cry during the spankings?
Re: Growing up in Mexico
Yes, although it was much less common with girls—and the punishments were far less severe and never involved nudity—I became aware of this difference once when I got into a fight with my sister; she ended up scratching my face, and I ended up pushing her. We fought until my mother stopped us, and the resulting punishments were very different. We both got spanked on that occasion, though I was obviously stripped naked before receiving mine. I remember my mother cutting my sister's fingernails extremely short—to the point where it was uncomfortable—and rubbing chili on her hands, in addition to making her stand in the corner of the house for most of the day. It was the same for me, except the chili was applied to a more sensitive area, and I wasn't given my clothes back until the punishment was over; according to my mother, it was unmanly to lay a hand on a lady, and as the boy, I was expected to be more respectful.I'm assuming girls got similar punishments, just without any nudity?
Yes, during the punishments, if a girl from the family was present, there was no shortage of mockery; my mother thought it was just kids teasing each other, so she didn't see a problem with it. She would only intervene if I cried or complained about it excessively—though the teasing would continue after the punishments were over, and she wouldn't step in then.Did your mom and grandmother allow your sister and cousin to tease you about it?
That was one of my biggest worries growing up; whenever I got spanked, I was afraid someone would pull out their cell phone and just snap a photo. Even though phones back then didn't have great cameras, I still worried about it. Unfortunately for me, several of those moments—and others—were captured on camera, though luckily, those photos aren't something my family talks about anymore.Given your age, were you worried about your mom, grandmother, or others recording you getting punished naked?
Re: Growing up in Mexico
Spanking and similar punishments continued until I was roughly twelve years old; after that, I was still punished, but in private, until I was nearly fourteen. I was a late bloomer, so my mother continued to view me as a child. The sign that I was getting too old was experiencing involuntary erections during the punishments, which caused my mother to stop using that method. And yes, I used to cry during the spankings, though as I got older, I cried more out of the shame involved than the pain of the spanking itself.NickTwisp wrote: Mon Aug 31, 2026 7:33 pm You would be 20-years-old currently; up to what age did these naked spankings occur in public in the yard where the village girls & women could readily see everything? Yes, I can certainly imagine that having so many people in your village see you naked would be worse than any pain inflicted. Especially your peers whom you might see in school.Dotka wrote: Wed Sep 02, 2026 6:27 am And yes, I used to cry during the spankings, though as I got older, I cried more out of the shame involved than the pain of the spanking itself.
