Generally, I mix truth with fiction in what I've posted on this site (except in the 'True Stories' section).

The name of the school nurse in my latest chapter of "Nick's Sports Physical" is a hidden reference.

From my experience the best fictional stories still include at least one element drawn loosely on a real person or event.

While I work mainly in fiction, a good true story cannot be understated!
In fiction, ANYTHING can happen-
You get to explore fantasies left unfulfilled.

But in true stories,
There’s that added touch of realism.
It REALLY happened!
The author (if good enough) may be able to reenact the situation so we (the readers) feel like we’re in it with them!

Fiction allows for a broad brush, but nonfiction has a weight that can’t be ignored.
