>The parking lot was a sea of shimmering asphalt, but for the first time all day, the girls didn't flinch. Melody even stood up a little straighter, the black leather collar feeling more like a badge of honor than a mark of shame.
>Mitch fished the car keys out of his pocket and unlocked the doors with a chirp. "Alright, time to load up."
Wait aren't they supposed to get back their possessions and have the wristlets removed are the entrance?
>Ok, it looks like the loans are pre-approved. We just need the signatures of the… ah… the female parties. And their wristband numbers for verification."
Wouldn't they be a system in place to prevent something like this from happening? As in many cases the family wouldn't have the financial means to move. Nor would they be able to sell their current house with it under mortgages/loans, plus taxes.
Then there an issue with jobs. I can't see Grandview having a lot of jobs for new employees not to mention the pay cuts that would be taking place. There also the issue that the girls/women would be stuck going out of town for both school and work which would complicate things. I can't see Grandciew being able to accept a large influcks of transfers even if we hand waze the mess getting the girls transfers out of their old school, especially in the middle of the school year.
I would feel there at least be something to prevent kids from forcing their mother's to move to Grandview seeing as they wouldn't have the foresight for financial decisions. Plus what if the dad is still home when the kids forced their mother to move to Grandview. That just seems like a massive issue and legal mess Grandview wouldn't won't to deal with without safe guards.
>Or would you rather I give you both another infraction for arguing?
I don't see the issue there. The police would come and learn of this and would even talk the kid down being sympathetic enough to think of the financial and other messy topics. Actually shouldn't there be something in place to prevent the kids from using the infraction system to use their mother's money. Seems like something that would've be abuse shortly after the system was implemented and fixed/patched.
>."Ok. You two have new homes now. In Grandview." He let that sink in for a moment. "So, let's go check them out! I want to see my new room."
Yeah Mitch how are you going to get your stuff from your old house? You can't drive there and the second your pass town line you're not in charge anymore. Same goes for transferring the girls out of their school, that's not really an online thing. Kinda another reason why they're be a safe guards against this as now it creates a mess situation and lead to lawsuits, possibly kidnapping charge. Like if mis.Parker went to get the clothes she could file a kidnapping on everyone else and send the cops up to Grandview.
> For the boys and their dads, who had engineered this final departure
So I'm assuming the husbands where the ones to plant the prank idea in ther wife's, which they acted upon and fell for the trap.
And Hanna and Melody are going to be subject to being stripped naked everyday and giving the cream. Wonder if there's a punishment for permanent hair loss, since that would only happen if they got infractions(bad behavior). There's also the idea that the boys and men abuse the infractions and get stripped of that power/kicked out of Grandview. In which case I wonder if the girls would be kicked out too or put up for adoption in Grandview
