It was a lazy Sunday afternoon and I was dozing in front of the TV, watching a mindless action movie that I must have seen half a dozen times before, when I was suddenly jolted awake. DING DONG, DING DONG, DING...BANG, BANG, BANG. Who the hell's that ? I opened the front door and was immediately knocked backwards by a blonde whirlwind leaping into my arms and kissing me full on the mouth. "Mwah...Did you miss me ?" "Lexie" I cried.

It had been six weeks of glorious normality. Alison had taken the girls to spend the entire summer holiday at an old school friend's villa in Provence. Alison plied me with frequent updates, attaching photos of beautifully presented tables of food and the occasional tasteful photo of herself in a fetching one piece swimsuit. The girls were conspicuous by their absence. I was not overly concerned about Niecy who was off to college but the lack of news from Lexie encouraged me to think that she might have become interested in some hunky French youths. She had just celebrated her 15th birthday while out there after all. I could have a serious talk with her on her return and put an end to all this nonsense. Nobody at work mentioned the photos on the web site any more and Skye's art classes would just have to paint still life friezes !

"I wasn't expecting you. When did you get back ?"

"Just now. Mum's still unpacking. We'd have been here yesterday but we dropped Niecy off in Brighton. She's starting college there but you must have known that ?"

"Er, yeah. Alison, er, your mum said. But look Lexie, we need to get a few things straight..."

"We can go down to visit her. There's a nude beach at Brighton, we can take you there !"

"Um, yeah, about that. We really ought to..."

"But why are you wearing clothes ? You know you're not supposed to wear clothes when I'm here"

"Sorry, it's, er, I didn't know you were back"

Why did I say that ? Why apologise. It was a Pavlovian response emphasising Lexie's control and a big mistake. "Well you know I'm here now, so let's get these off you !" Her fingers were at my belt. I brushed them away. "No, Lexie. I can take my own clothes off" I protested. She stood back happily. "Go on then" she demanded. Why did I say that ? What happened to the serious talk. My mind went into a familiar fog as I fumbled with my clothes. Before I knew it, I was standing there naked. "Much better" Lexie approved. "I asked if you'd missed me and I can see your willy has !" She grinned at my semi erection that was starting to lift. "And I've missed that willy" she added, moving forward to kiss me on the cheek. "Come along, let's go and see mum." It had taken her all of six minutes to undo the work of six weeks.

"Come along, let's go and see mum." Lexie began pulling me towards the front door. "Lexie, don't be silly. I can't go out the front like this" I protested. "Don't call me silly" Lexie objected, playfully slapping my semi. "Ow !" "It's not like you haven't gone out the front naked before" she giggled. "But it might be better to go round the back, we can climb over the fence" she conceded.

No matter how many times I was outside in the open stark naked, it never became any easier. I looked around anxiously, even though the back gardens were relatively secluded, at least compared to walking down the street. "You should put a gate between our gardens" Lexie suggested as we clambered over the low fence. She ran and wrapped on the glass patio doors. "Here he is mum" she yelled. Alison came to the door with a big grin on her face. " Rob, good to see you" she laughed, unashamedly running her eyes down my body from head to toe. "Didn't take you long Lexie" she winked at her teenaged daughter. "I've got him well trained" said Lexie proudly. "So I see" Alison laughed once more. "Er, I wanted to talk to you...." I began, thinking it would be easier to get Alison to listen to reason. "Come in and sit down" she interrupted, ignoring my attempt to broach any other subject.

"Did you have a good holiday ?" I tried another tack. "You know we did. Didn't you see the snaps I was sending ?"

"Well, yes but I thought I'd still ask" I replied. Alison began regaling me with all the details of the villa, the places of interest they had visited, the delights of the pool, the weather. "Sounds idyllic" I agreed. "Oh it was. But all Lexie could talk about for the last week was getting back here to see you" explained Alison. "Wasn't she being chased by all those French boys ?" I wondered. Lexie blushed. "Boys are silly" she affirmed. "No boyfriend your age ?" I teased. "Plenty of time for that in a couple of years when she goes to college. Study comes first" Alison affirmed. "Now go and make us a drink Lexie, Rob and I need to talk. Tea or coffee ?"

"Oh, er, tea, coffee, water. Anything. Whatever's easiest." I wasn't really bothered but was encouraged that Alison was opening the door to that serious talk I needed to have.

Lexie bounced to the kitchen. "Look, I'm sorry about this Alison. She caught me by surprise." i gestured at my naked body. "You know we don't mind at all" Alison laughed. "Yes, I know but I really wanted to say that...." I was determined to nip things in the bud this time. "But I did want to talk seriously" Alison interrupted me again. Good, this'll give me the chance, I thought. "I just wanted to say thank you for how wonderful you have been for Lexie. The change in her has been miraculous. You have no idea how hard it's been bringing her up with a largely absent father. Niecy's been no problem at all but Lexie was uncontrollable."

"Oh, she's not so bad." I somehow felt the need to defend Lexie. "Not now, no. And that's all down to you" Alison continued.

"Me ?"

"Yes. You have done wonders for her confidence and she has much more of a sense of discipline with her studies too. The principal has been amazed also. Lexie is going to be head of her year this coming semester and there are heavy hints that come this time next year she'll be Head Girl of the entire school."

"Well that's wonderful" I said. Of course, I was pleased but..."I don't see what that's got to do with me though ?"

"But it's all the projects with you. It's given her a real purpose and drive. It's really freed up her imagination and those positive aspects are spilling over into all her other work. Frankly, I'm scared what would happen if she didn't have that. Niecy told me that Lexie confided in her that if she couldn't have her projects with you, she'd be running around with that awful Carol girl and I couldn't stand that."

"Carol ?"

"Or Caz as she calls herself. You know, that awful gang of shoplifting girls from the estate !" I shuddered. "I couldn't bear the thought of that and that's why I'm so grateful and delighted that you are happy to carry on with her as before." She gestured at my nudity. "I don't know what we'd do without you" she added, kissing me on the cheek.

I was stuck. How could I let them down and leave Lexie at the mercy of Caz and co ? Goodness knows what they might get up to. But I remained desperate to ease myself out of this predicament somehow. "But what about boys her own age ?" I tried again. "She wasn't interested. She does pop in to see her cousin Michael quite often for some reason. I think she finds him amusing, though he's gay."

At this point in the conversation, Lexie came back with coffee for herself and her mother. "I thought you said you'd prefer water Rob" she said, handing me a glass. "Oh, er, well, yeah, I didn't really mind" I answered, taking a sip. "Urgh, they must be increasing the chlorine in the supply again. It's been tasting normal all summer." "It must be the dry weather" suggested Lexie.

Haha, Lexie up to her old tricks I see. He has no clue! I love where this will go. Who will be seeing Rob bare naked next, I wonder?

It was my intention to insinuate that Updates won't be as frequent as previously but I hope to get out a couple of chapters a week for a while.
