Summer Story Contest (The Results)

Final 'Summer Story Contest' post, I promise. XD
After a super close vote, it does indeed look like I ended up winning my own contest! Thanks so much for the votes, everyone, and I'll have to find a clever way to reward myself. Usually I give my winners a handful of options in a private message with them, all of which revolve around getting more content out. Stay tuned! I've always referenced winning stories, so here we go:
1st Place -- The Disguise, by yours truly, Lady Lucia.

And a VERY close 2nd place -- War of the Scouts, by Executionus.

A huge 'Thank You' again to everyone who not only submitted stories, but also to those who submitted the prompts that made this contest possible. I really liked this style. It takes my own personal bias out of not only judging, but also crowd-sources ideas in a way that makes things way more interesting than just one person coming up with prompts. I know it's a few months early to be thinking about such things, but I'm pretty sure I'll be keeping this model for my usual winter contest -- if you really want one of your prompts to be picked, then you've got plenty of time to craft your idea(s) in the most appealing way. :)
Alright, that'll have to do it for me. Have a great end to your summer, everyone, and I'll see you next time!
Much love,
Lady Lucia
