my question is why this site does not have a dark mode, dark mode is so much easier to read.

Yeah, forums have generally had a few themes to chose from for a very long time, before there was a general trend to just include a "dark mode" in general. I could use something that is less than an eyesore too, since I'm part of the 50% that prefers a darker background.

why dont your just use a dark mode plugin? i used one and turned it into the old board with pink text

unfortunately the site already has a darkmode, it's already implemented, but for some reason only some users can see it, I'm using it right now.

What browser and OS are you using

It's generally better to just use the theming system.

Where are the settings then?

It doesn't really matter, I tried a whole bunch of browsers and computers, I'm generally on Brave and Win10.

As for where the settings should be, they should be in your control panel under "Board Preferences", named "My Board Style", but a lot of people can't see them apparently, I've actually asked phpBB forums about this and nobody could figure it out.
