Hello,
this is my frist post here. (Sorry if my English isn't so well).
I've written a story which I've posted in another forum.
I hope you enjoy it. It's a long story and it will take time to finish it, so pleas tell me if you are interessed in.
I've written the story originally in German. So if someone want it, I can post it in German too.
Summer camp for girls - and now for boys too
1. A holiday job is needed
Joshua and Tobias were best friends. They shared nearly everything: in school they used to be in the same class and now they were both at university studying sports in the 4th semester. All in all they were very sporty. They played basketball and volleyball in the club and they often went swimming together.
They also looked almost the same. They were both tall, more than 1,90 m and they had an athletical body, because of the sports.
However Joshua was blond while Tobias' hair had a dark brown shade. They were both the heartthrobs at their university. However, they were not in a relationship with a girl because sometimes they also shared their bed. They were a gay couple, but only secretly.
And like all of that, they also shared their chronical lack of money.
Now the summer break was approaching and boys were looking for a holiday job.
Tobias was sitting at the breakfast table with his parents. When Joshua wrote him a Whatsapp message. “Hey, I just found a cool advert for the semester break on the bulletin board. See you in the lecture.”
Excited about what Joshua had found, Tobias quickly set off on his bike to the university. When he got there, Joshua immediately ran up to him.
“Look what I found”.
Tobias took the piece of paper from Joshua’s hand, on which was written in a typewriter:

Institut Maria Immaculata
Holiday camp for girls - and now also for boys!
We are looking for male counselors
Our institute has been running holiday camps for girls aged 12-15 for many decades. For various reasons, we have decided to take also boys for our camps in the future. Therefore we are looking for male counselors, which are between 18 and 25 years old.
We will spend the entire summer holidays from July 15th to August 28th with three consecutive camps (two weeks each) in the south of France at our manor house near Montpellier. We can only pay €200 per week, so a total of €1,200, but everything is provided for the 6 weeks (food, accommodation, clothing, etc.)
Please contact us at the following telephone number: 0221-xxxxxxxxxxx
—--------------------------
“Sounds good, doesn’t it?” asked Joshua. “It’s only €1,200, but everything is provided and the South of France feels like a vacation.”
“We can call and see what all inclusive really means.”
“But we have to go to the lecture first. Professor Bender doesn’t like it when you’re late.”
During the lunch break, the two tried to contact the institute. But unfortunately no one answered the phone. They didn’t get through until 2 p.m.
“Institut Maria Immaculata, you are speaking to Sister Hildegard”
“This is Tobias Zander. I'm happy to reach you, I tried to call you the last two hours.”
“There is a lunch break here from 12 to 2 p.m., and as a decent person you should know and take that into account.”
Oops, thought Tobias, they must be of the old school. “Yes, I’m sorry, I hadn’t thought of that. I’m sitting here with my colleague Joshua Mayer. We’re both sports students and we saw your ad on the bulletin board at the university. You’re looking for male counselors and we’re both looking for a holiday job, that seems to be a match.”
“Well, it’s true, but we don’t take just anyone. Are you Catholic?”
Fortunately, neither of them had left the church yet, so Tobias could say: “I’m Catholic, my colleague isn’t, but he’s Protestant, and that should be OK today.”
“I’ll put you through to the responsible sister.”
“So, we have overcome the gate dragon,” thought Tobias, “let’s see how it goes.”
“Sister Katherina,” a younger voice answered when the call was put through.
“This is Tobias Zander. As I just told your colleague, I would like to take part in your holiday camp with my friend Joshua Mayer as a counselor. We are both 21 years old.”
“I’m glad, this year we are taking boys with us for the first time and we need male counselors. Do you have any experience with that?”
“We are both sports students and have therefore often worked with young people in sport clubs. And it is not difficult for us to keep young people busy.”
“That is a good thing. We have been looking for counselors for a longer time and we were afraid that we would have to turn the boys down again. But then we would no longer receive any subsidies and we would no longer be able to finance the camp.”
“So it's good for all: you get the subsidies, the boys can go to the camp and we have our holiday job. The payment was already in the advert, but what is included?”
“Accommodation and food, as it says, and basically everything else you need. We have uniforms for the counselors and children, and we also provide hygiene products, so you don’t actually need to bring anything with you. Would this be an offer for you?”
“We’ll think about it.”
“But please don't think too long, we’re under time pressure.”
“Just a minute,” said Tobias and looked at Joshua, who had heard everything. He nodded in agreement. “Okay, we’re in, my friend agrees too.”
“I need some documents from you, you can send them to us. And then it won’t be long. The counselors are meeting two days earlier to get to know each other. You’re traveling by train; we’ll cover that too.”
Tobias exchanged a few more details with Sister Katharina, then they hung up.
“We're to the South of France,” cheered Joshua. “But first we have to get through the last four weeks of the semester, and then there will be six weeks of vacation.”
About a week before their journey began, Tobias called Joshua and said: “A letter for our holiday job has arrived. It contains our tickets and some other informations. There's said that we mustn’t bring anything with us. Everything is provided and they have a problem with storage space.”
“Well, if everything is provided, then it’s fine.”
“But should we set off without anything?”
“I think we can probably bring a backpack; and we need a cell phone too. At which time does our train start?” asked Joshua.
“On Thursday at 10:32 a.m. and we’ll be there at 9:11 p.m.”
2. Arriving at the camp (1st day)
On Thursday, Joshua and Tobias met at the main station. Both had only a small backpack with them. Inside they had some food and other belongings from which they thought they would need in the 6 weeks. Unusually for the Deutsche Bahn their train was on time and the journey went without any further incidents. In Montpellier, Sister Katherina was already waiting for them at the station.
When she greeted them, she immediately called out: “You shouldn’t bring anything with you, we wouldn’t have enough place. What will we do, if everyone does that?”
“But it’s only a small backpack.”
“Yes, but even that is too much, well then we’ll have to see. But first of all, welcome to Montpellier. I am Sister Katherina. Who of you is Tobias?”
The two young men introduced themselves with their full names and they politely shook Sister Katherina’s hand. The sister still seemed quite young, perhaps in her late twenties or early thirties. You can't say because of the veil and habit she was wearing. After the welcoming rituals were completed, Sister Katherina said: “We are now going to our camp. The team is now complete. But you won’t meet the female counselors until tomorrow, it’s already so late.”
After about half an hour’s drive they arrived at the site.
Sister Katherina had already told them a lot on the way. “It was previously a girls-only camp. The building for the boys is new. There will be 60 girls and 18 boys. Plus 14 female counselors and you two. But don’t let anything get too close here. The female staff and of course the participants are taboo for you,” said Sister Katharina sternly.
“Don’t worry, we’ll behave,” said Joshua and secretly winked at Tobias. They both knew that they weren’t into girls, so there was probably no danger of that, but they didn’t have to tell the sister that straight away.
The main building looked like a villa.
“This is the old manor house. The kitchen, my apartment, my office and rooms for the female counselors are located there. You'll sleep somewhere else, the manor house is taboo for you,” said Sister Katherina.
“‘Taboo’ seems to be her favorite word,” Tobias whispered to Joshua and they both giggled.
Behind the manor house they came to a courtyard. There they stopped. The courtyard was surrounded by buildings. On the left was a large, long three-story building that looked very modern.
Sister Katherina explained: “There are the girls' rooms and washrooms inside.”
“That’s taboo for us,” Joshua guessed.
“You’re right, young man,” Sister Katherina remarked.
“The building at the back contains the dining room, common rooms and group rooms.” “Is that taboo for us too?” Tobias said caustically.
“Not quite, but we’ll come to that later. First, let’s take a look at your rooms.” “That's nice, the first building we are allowed to go inside.”
Sister Katherina led them to a simple wooden barrack on the right side of the yard.
“This is the boys’ dormitory. You’ll live here too, to look after them.” Tobias and Joshua could hardly believe their eyes. A horse stable would be luxurious in comparison. A 5x6 m hut made of simple boards, with no doors and huge window openings without glass.
“We thought an airy building would be quite suitable for the summer here, th temperatures are very high.
Inside there were six mattresses on each side of the floor with a small corridor between them, that's all.
“Where do the rest of us sleep?” asked Joshua.
“All the boys sleep here, the 18 participants and you two. If there is little space, they don’t do stupid stuff. And you’re only supposed to be here to sleep.
Joshua was a little irritated and suddenly noticed: “But we don’t have any space to store our things.”
“You’re right, that’s why you shouldn’t bring anything with you, everything is provided for you.
“And where is our bathroom?” asked Tobias angrily.
“We’ve put it in a very cost-effective… er… very interesting way. Come with me.”
Sister Katherina led them around the building. A wooden platform was attached along the backside of the barrack. A pipe ran 2 m above it, with shower heads attached in five places. On each side of the wooden platform there were boards with two holes in each for pit toilets. There was no privacy screen for the toilets or the showers. “The showers flush the toilets at the same time, which saves water. And you can pee while you shower,” said Sister Katherina delightedly.
“You don’t think we’ll use it, do you?” said Tobias, dismayed.
“If you have to, you will,” said Katherina confidently.
“Now you’re going to have something to eat and then we all have to go to bed.” It was almost 11 p.m. by now.
“Finally some good news,” Joshua called out, “where is the dining room?”
“The dining room is only for the girls, that’s for you…”
“… taboo,” Joshua added annoyed.
“Exactly. You eat with the boys on the courtyard. We’ve bought nice dishes for you. Here are your bowls.” Sister Katherina gave them two silver feeding bowls for dogs which were filled with some stew.
“Joshi” and “Tobi” were written on them in black letters.
“Well, that’s OK.” Joshua was slowly becoming unsettled. “Where is the cutlery?”
“We thought the boys eat everything with their fingers anyway, so we decided not to give them cutlery. So eat up and then go to bed, we’ll meet in the courtyard tomorrow at 7:30 a.m.”
“Wait,” Tobias called, “where are we supposed to sleep?”
“But I already showed you the dormitory.”
“But there are no blankets in there, and we don’t have pajamas either. I think everything is provided?”
“With the temperatures here, you don’t need blankets, and we’ll look for the clothes tomorrow. Tonight you can wear what you brought with you - without permission. Good night.” Without waiting for an answer, Sister Katherina marched to the manor house.
“Well, I’m not staying here,” said Tobias.
“Me neither,” added Joshua. “Tomorrow we’ll tell the sister that she has to find someone else. But we’ll probably have to stay here tonight. Let’s see how the food tastes.”
They looked in their bowls, a stew of lentils and beans that didn’t taste too bad.
They finished their meal, then they washed the bowls in the shower and went into the dormitory.
When they got there, they noticed that the shower in front of the window wasn't ideal.
Because by washing the bowls they wetted half of the mattresses (which faced the shower). But they didn't worry about that anymore, they stripped down to their underwear and slept on the mattresses on the other side of the barrack.
