In year 5, at lunchtime, I managed to fall into the only puddle in the school playground. As a result, my trousers, pants, and socks were very wet. I was taken indoors by one of the teaching assistants to a cupboard where the school kept spare clothes. We removed my shoes and socks, and I took off my wet trousers. She noticed my pants were wet, so I had to take them off in front of her. I was completely naked from the waist down, which was very embarrassing. Then, she started rummaging through various plastic bags, looking for suitable clothes in my size. It would have been better if she had checked the sizes before I undressed.
I think she was struggling to find anything suitable for a 10 year old, She held up a couple of pairs of pants against me to check if they would fit, and did the same with the trousers.
The whole ordeal was very embarrassing, but it was nice that she took care of me.

At least it apparently was only the teaching assistant who saw you naked from the waist down. Would have been a lot worse if other students or staff were present.

Year 5 would put you at about 10 or 11 years old, right? That is a time when a lot of us boys are incredibly self conscious about our bodies. Did it feel like she was potentially judging you for how far into the start of your changes you had gotten?

In UK, year 5 is age 9-10

Yeah, she did find some replacement standard school trousers and turquoise pants that fitted me in the end. I suppose word did get out – it was a small school, so I'm sure most of the students witnessed what happened when I fell in the puddle.

I would have been 9 or 10 years old. I was embarrassed about being seen naked from the waist down, but I was very much still a child at that point, and no changes had started to happen yet, so I wasn't concerned about that. It was more that I felt like I was being treated like a 5-year-old rather than a 9- or 10-year-old. I was more than capable of changing my own clothes; I didn't need help.

We also had school swimming lessons, but there would always be female teachers in the boys' changing room supervising. None of us wanted to be seen naked by a woman at that age. I'm sure there would have been an outcry if it was a male teacher in the girls' changing room.
