My parents referred to it as "your little wee-wee" as a young child.

It was a long time ago, but I think I was told it was my tail.

Dicky or willy -- both when I was little, up to end of primary school.
When I got to senior school, I was then amazed by just how many other words there were!

Look...I grew up when things like Beavis and Butthead, DX, and ICP were popular. I heard and used them all, every ridiculous name for it.
Dick, cock, pecker, dong, shlong, wang, weiner, willy, joystick, wood, trunk, weed-whacker, skin-flute, cigar (thanks Bill), junk, package, oil drill, bald bishop, lemonade stand, rocket, rod, Mortal Kumbat, babymaker, naughty quaker, virgin defiler, Mr. Happy, and an honorable mention to the Big Valbowski and all parodies of that name. And that's just off the top of my head. Modern youngsters have plenty of new ones, like "the D".

Growing up, "pee-pee" was the noun for my penis, and "pee" was both a noun for urine and a verb for the act of urination.
Left to my own devices I can be pedantic about things and I've never really been able to wrap myself around using "pee-pee" as a noun for penis and also a verb for urination. I mean, maybe if you're doing baby talk where you're repeating everything while changing a diaper. But I remember being at the mall food court as a teen and hearing mothers tell their sons "go to the bathroom and pee-pee" and I guess if you unpack it as "do the thing you know how to do with your penis" it sort of makes sense but it's always been awkward to my ear.
On rare occasions I've also heard mothers use "pee-pee" with daughters. And on the one hand if you're being reductive and "pee-pee" is a generic term for "the place on your body where pee comes out" that makes total sense. But in a broader cultural context I feel like that has some really interesting implications about gender concepts when boys and girls both have pee-pees just with different shapes which has an equalizing element to it. And of course the inevitable confusion when a kid with that kind of working definition winds up in a conversation with the rest of the culture where girls don't have pee-pees!

I used “pee-pee” to mean genitals in general as a kid, but that was because we only ever said the word and never wrote it down, I assumed it was p.p. Short for private parts (the other term we had heard)
Then of course growing up there came a point where pretty much any word spoken with the right tone would mean penis

Huh. I hadn't really thought of that angle before!

Was that "little" modifier there all the time? That's both cute and humiliating.
