Ah that's easily remedied (the curse)... one, very short, final chapter/epilogue...
She decided she couldn't take it any more and 'asked the judge to send her to jail instead of continuing' or 'put on her maid's uniform, penned a short note and jumped of the roof of the building holding the doctor's office'
