I know exactly the type of showers you mean. I've been to gyms and pools with a similar set-up. It's one thing to share them with complete strangers, who are as naked as you are and keeping to themselves. It's quite another to be confronted by someone you recognise, eyeing you up and down in a vulnerable state while enjoying the power trip of being clothed.
I've not had anything quite like that. This doesn't really compare, but one time I was showering near the end of a swimming pool session. I hoped to be done before the pool emptied and the changing room filled up, but I mistimed it and the other showers around me all filled up too. That wasn't too bad, but it was a little unnerving when I stepped out of the shower, naked, only to come face to face with a crowd of about six guys, all still wearing swim shorts or wrapped in towels, glaring at me impatiently as they were waiting in line for a shower to become free. I had to push past them all, still naked, to get to the wall behind them where I had hung my towel.
