A surprising event

This is surreal. I have seen a lot of Christian baptisms, but never anybody above 3 years old being baptized naked. What denomination is that?

In the early Christian church, baptisms were done in the nude. Usually this involved the person stripping off their clothing and wading into a lake or stream.

I don't know what religion he is. I know he is Russian and his wife is Bulgarian.

Orthodox. Typically the baptized are fully naked but not fully potty-trained. What you saw was very unusual.
