I mean I might be wrong but I 100% bet they were loving it and stealing glances but not trying to look obvious and gawk. Did you guys never talk about it? Or no one ever talked to the girls about it ?
And was this something the coaches and school knew about ? Or was it just a prank the upper class pulled on the freshman ,
Okay. Well here I was all these years thinking they were all business. Clearly I was wrong, and now I'm feeling the real time embarrassment of something that happened years ago. Like, do I DM.them and ask, hey, were you looking at us naked in the shower? And they're like, Duh.
The coaches were aware. It wasn't a big deal, really. I was just nervous about being seen naked. But I was modest and kept a low profile. It certainly wasn't a prank. This was part of their assigned job, as crazy as it sounds.
And now I'm looking back on it, realizing that she most likely saw me naked, probably from all angles.
I don't believe you were naïve. I believe what's happened is that you eventually came to understand that a young person's sexual thoughts develop earlier than one might think. Often times you have to grow beyond 19 to look back on 14 and 15 and say to yourself, "That 17 year old girl, over time seeing me in the nude, every inch, every angle, whether she wanted to or not, has judged me, my manhood, my male power, what I'll eventually look like when I'm intimate with a girl - ALL of it was taken from me by her views of me. Then, if you dwell on her thinking about your naked body and her having memories of it afterward, you can end up feeling completely humiliated for a long time after you've thought about it.

Perhaps this is why for some people humiliation/embarrassment brings about arousal when remembering the embarrassing event. It's a kind of protection mechanism.

It's also a getting off on the excitement over your most intimate aspect of your body being taken from you against you will. You've lost everything to this person, and it's So Forever.

I don't think I feel quite as violated as you describe. She shouldn't have been put in the situation. First, it was probably a dangerous situation for her, harassment just waiting to happen, and for us guys, it was a gross violation of our privacy. Even if she did peek or look, it wasn't her fault. How could you put a 17 year old girl in that posting and not expect her to look. I think we all did the best we could with an absurd situation. If anyone should be ashamed, it's the coaches and administrators.
Still, that doesn't mean that I didn't spend countless hours (and tissues) fantasizing about it. Still do, occasionally.

I don't feel I lost anything to her. If she looked, which she shouldn't have been, then she was the perv. I acted appropriately and she didn't. I am.the winner in that situation. Maybe she saw my butt and perhaps more. But I still have my integrity, where she lost some of hers, abusing a trusted position for a teenage thrill. So I disagree. I am not the victim.
This thread is taking an odd turn. I just thought it was a cute, embarrassing, silly, relatively harmless memory.
At my (public) high school, the boys phys ed side of the gym and shower / locker area was on the one side and the male teachers chose 10th and 11th grade girls to be their student aides. These were girl students who chose to be a teacher's aide instead of taking a genuine elective. The male p.e. teachers wanted them in their office more than having male aides in their office. The towels were distributed by a guy or usually left in a pile for us to take when we exited the showers. Now, if the girl aides wanted to work at it, they could have looked into the shower area when we boys were all nude, IF they would have torn the posters taped to the glass that covered the ability for the male staff to look into the shower / locker aera for reasons of supervision. Naturally no girl who worked in the office ever did this and everyone would see them in broad daylight if they had tried to do that.
Based on what you wrote, yes - naturally the male staff would be to blame for choosing girls to distribute the towels and be looking at the boys when they were naked. You had a pretty unusual circumstance.
What is IMO 100% believable is the off-site swim school and swim competition locations where women adults and even sometimes girl students and competitors were able to walk right by or into an area where boys were changing or toweling off naked. That's because there have always been adult women who do not believe boys ages 9 - 15 deserve privacy. And these same women are lax in ensuring the girls didn't go into those areas. These women interacted with the boys while they were naked almost as if to send a message to them that they were adults supervising them and that their nakedness was of no concern. A couple of guys I knew who were 14 were humiliated to their core when the woman of the competing school walked into the changing area and looked right at them when they were in their birthday suits. Pubic hair, penis size, bare butts - this woman from the other school that had lost against our school was perhaps taking out her revenge on the boys who beat her student athletes. Complaining to our adult staff didn't result in anything. The boys were humiliated for life.
Of course, just as you wrote about your own situation, this was a far cry from girls passing out towels and their probably handling their jobs in a very kind manner.

When I was around 14 I visited a pool with my friend that had the most ridiculous shower room design - you walked through the men's shower room to get to the women's.
You couldn't see the shower itself but the second you stepped out to dry off or wear clothes, you would be visible.
Both of us ended up taking turns, where one would body-block the view from the door while the other pulled on a pair of undies after the shower.
I don't believe any women saw our penises but they definitely saw us in our undies (which you could argue was equivalent to swimming trunks)
I ended up taking the chance to briefly peek on him naked and he did the same, so we just laughed it off.

Yeah. Well, I don't know who thought that was a good idea! Of course, if I remember correctly, you're not in the US, and sensitivities are different everywhere.

I can assure you, that is a terrible design idea even here!
