I do not understand well what happens in that video, some young students are naked from back exposing to us and the audience their naked butts but a few other are still wearing an underwear, why they are not all naked ?

I think that the fraternity pledges are being forced to be naked in front of some of their female classmates. Much to their dismay, their female classmates might indeed be able to view their male student's penises.

about the video page 53 " minimal clothing entertainment in Taiwan, It is rather funny to see the young boys ( aged between 8 and 12 I presume ?) wearing only a kind of jockstrap like the sumo wrestlers in Japan who come in front of a large audience certaiy mainly families like in a kind of parade on a ship.

Of course they are exposing almost completely their naked butts but only the cheeks, not the cracks of the asses with that cloth on the reverse of a jockstrap, it is more like a string.

it is a little shocking for us, but I presume that the social norms in Taiwan are different of those common in western countries.

For small boys it is certainly not inappropriate to wear in front of an audience of women and girls only that minimal clothings as long as they do not expose their genitals nor their butts cracks and assholes. it seems obvious on the video that they are not at all embarrassed and that the female audience is watching it as if it were perfectly normal, the women and girls are not laughing nor giggling.

After all there was a time in the 50 s until may be last 70's where in some states of the United States and some school districts the boys at middle schools and high schools, or at the YMCA centers, might swim completely naked with obviously false reasons to justify it, since only the boys might swim naked, the girls were allowed to wear swim suits, so it happened certainly that at mixed schools they were exposed to the view of girls classmates accidentaly or occasionnally because of an error of schedule for swimming classes or of a lack of care about the boys nudity, even may be intentionnally at inter schools swimming meets where the boys students might be stark naked in front of an audience of families and teachers of both genders.

Today it would be of course impossible, but it was not considered as inappropriate at that time for male teenagers.... the attitude towards boy's nudity was not the same.
