How I Lost A Good Friend

This happened when I was 12/13.

I used to have a tight knit friend group of about 6 from the ages of 10 - 16.

There were 4 girls and 2 boys.

This is how we lost one of those boy friends.

We were all playing dart tag with nerf guns in his parents’ basement.
This was a regular activity, as his house was quite large and had a mostly unfinished basement with bare concrete floors and unfinished walls (just the crisscrossed wooden framework).
Everything was going well until his dad came storming down the stairs, yelling at him.
At first we didn’t know what was wrong, but we quickly found out it was something to do with the family computer.
In front of all of us, his dad explained that the computer was ‘riddled with porn viruses’.
Obviously, a very embarrassing accusation to be leveled at a 12/13 year old boy in front of his friends, 4 of whom were girls his age.
They argued back and forth in front of us for quite some time.
The other boy was very timid and embarrassed hearing the accusation.
Then, it all got much worse for our friend.
We were told to go into one of the other ‘rooms’ of the basement (remember, the walls were nonexistent).
We complied by moving to another ‘room’, leaving just the wooden framework of the ‘wall’ between us and them.
His father then gave a blistering tongue lashing, followed by the ‘meat’ of this particular story.

His father was going to spank him!
Not just that, our friend had to strip off his shirt and pull his pants down to his ankles!
More arguing until finally his father lunged forward and pulled his shirt up over his head and arms!
He was told in a very threatening tone not to move, and complied.
His father was a very large man by comparison, so it was easy to see how our tween friend was so easily overpowered.
In another single move, his father yanked his jeans and undies down to his ankles!
There it was-
We all got to see everything!
His father only hesitated for a moment before delivering 5 hard smacks on the butt!
This of course made everything bounce and wiggle.
Our other boy friend looked away, seemingly mortified.
But the 4 of us girls couldn’t take our eyes off of friend’s flopping genitals!
At the time, we all scared of the father and the situation.
But secretly, everyone one of us was watching, taking in every detail as his little penis flopped around.
After the 5 spanks, his father stepped away, chastising him further and leveling more threats for the future before heading back up the stairs without acknowledging us.
Our friend trembled as we stepped back through the framework of the wall.
We got a good look at everything up close before he frantically pulled his clothes back on.
The games were over after that, and our relationship with that friend rapidly deteriorated.
Partially from embarrassed avoidance on his part, and partially from fear of his father on our part.

In hindsight, I wish we’d been more consoling.
Seeing him naked in any other circumstance would certainly have been preferable to witnessing his father spanking him.

Did you all stick around for awhile or leave immediately? Was the poor guy crying?

I can only imagine how awkward it must have been to be around him after that kind of humiliation. Surprising that the Dad didn't just ask you all to leave before the punishment commenced. But perhaps he intentionally wanted the friends to view his son's nudity as part of the reprimand.

It was 100 % meant to humiliate him.
I didn’t, but a few of the others made it clear that we had all seen him naked.
It was mostly awkward with us girls.
Personally, from then on, I couldn’t help feeling bad when we were around him.

How long was he completely exposed to the group ? Did you 4 talk about it afterwords ? I assume you did and what was some of the comments.

This would have destroyed most males at that age.

I don't think you would have lost me. My dad on the other hand...

I guess I was fortunate in some respects. My Dad could be cruel and liked to make jokes about my pubertal development and what he perceived as my daily masturbation habit. But the only time he forced me to get publicly naked in front or various girls & women was the incident in the 3-sided cabin at Boy Scout camp.

The whole incident probably lasted 5-8 minutes?
He was absolutely shell shocked and mortified.
We continued playing like normal afterwards, but it was definitely a different energy.
2 of the other girls giggled a bit when they would look at him.
The boys talked amongst themselves in brief spurts.
I think he was trying to console him.
A few times afterwards, us girls did talk about it.
After all, we now knew what he looked like naked.
I don’t remember any of the comments being mean, it was mostly just the excitement and taboo of getting to see ‘everything’.
It wasn’t until later in life that we realized he was probably ‘average’ down there.
I don’t remember any lot of detail, as we were in the next room, but I do remember it was enough to flop around.
