So many possibilities for future embarrassing situations. The wrestling match may still happen and now a group of 11 year old girls may issue a challenge, along with the 'normal' tasks that he has to take on - how much longer will he avoid hearts?

It's fun to write, and although it's taking a lot of chapters to cover the first couple of days, hopefully the story can move a bit quicker once Matt gets a his feet wet, so to speak
No idea how long Matt will avoid hearts, i decided to use a random card drawing site, to pick his tasks... although i have to reroll if it lands on something without a task for it yet, or one that already just happened...
There will also be others doing tasks, so might not be Matt getting a heart, but someone else might... i mean we've already had Jake fully naked... more will come.
“If you know what the task is, we don’t need the folder. I trust you.” I told them, as I thought about the prospect of another wedgie task.
It wasn’t exactly a good thing, but at least I didn’t have to get naked, and I also didn’t have to take anything off. So I was taking it as a win, and wasn’t going to complain. Although at the same time, I wasn’t happy about ruining another pair of my boxers.
“Yeah, it’s pretty much like we told you yesterday. Although we will go through it again, but first let’s go outside again.” Leo then said. Which made me look at him in surprise.
“This den is great and all, but not really good for this kind of task. Especially a hanging wedgie, Matt.” Jake then said, after obviously seeing the look on my face.
“Yeah, and there are a couple of good trees just outside too. Which will make your task easier.” Leo then added, as they led me outside again.
“Make it easier how?” I had to ask, as soon as I stepped out of the den.
“You will see, and you will thank me for us.” Leo answered with a grin. “And if you don’t believe me, just look at sulky face over there.” He then added, before chuckling.
I couldn’t help but look over to where Jake was now standing. He was flipping Leo off, but he actually did look like he was sulking. Which was both a little funny, and a bit confusing. “I don’t get it.” I decided to say, as I wondered what I was missing.
“Firstly. I am not sulking. Let’s get that straight.” Jake answered, before pausing as Leo snorted. “Okay. Maybe a little bit, but only because I just had some shitty tasks. While you’re trying to go easy on the new guy, Leo.” He then said, with a little shake of the head.
“It’s not about going easy on him, Jake. We’re trying to be his friends. It’s okay if you and I are messing about, but let’s not make him hate us, by being dicks.” Leo quickly retorted, as I felt my cheeks warm up a little.
“Fair point, Leo. Just remember that going too easy on someone, is almost as bad as going harsh on someone. At least when it comes to the E.K.T.G.” Jake then said, as I looked between them. I didn’t really know what to make of their conversation, but I knew it was important.
“Okay, okay, Jake. That’s a fair point too, but that doesn’t mean we have to be dicks. He’s new to the game, and you did screw him over once already.” Leo then said, as they both seemed to come to an agreement. While I felt like a bit of a tit, just standing there.
“So err… how do I… err… well, what do I do?” I then asked, after deciding to say something. I appreciated what Leo was saying, and even Jake seemed to have made a good point, but I kind of just wanted to get my task over with.
“Not much to be honest. We just need you to stand over by that tree over there.” Leo answered, before pointing to a tree a little to the right of where we were standing. “And then Jake and I will hook the back of your undies to the little knot sticking out.” He then said, as we walked over to it.
“Isn’t that a bit high?” I couldn’t help but ask, as I looked at where the knot was.
“Well, it has to be high enough so that you can’t stand on the ground.” Leo answered, as they turned my back to the tree, and backed me up a little bit.
“Trust us, Matt. We’ve both hanged from this knot before.” Jake then said, as they worked together to lift me up.
It was a strange feeling and experience. I knew what was about to happen, and was letting it happen. “Just er… don’t let me drop.” I then found myself saying, as I felt the back of my boxers being pulled up a little and hooked over the knot.
“We’re not dicks, Matt.” Leo quickly reassured me. “Well, Jake is, but we aren’t going to make this worse than it already will be.” He then added, after Jake snickers from the other side of me.
“Okay, now the fun part. When we lower you, Matt. You have to lift yourself up and down 10 times. If you reach up a little, there are a few more knots sticking out the tree. That you can use to help you.” Jake then said, as they lowered me down slowly.
I was already wincing before they let go, and stepped back a few steps. “Oh fuck!” I then said, after a gasp. This was way worse than the atomic wedgie from earlier, and I hadn’t even tried to lift myself up.
“I wouldn’t take too long, to try and get the 10 pulls ups done, Matt.” I then heard Leo suggest, as I tried to ignore the pain in my groin.
“Reach up, and use both hands.” Jake then told me. Which was easier said than done, but I managed to find and grip the knots they had told me about. “This is important, Matt. You have to pull yourself up fully, or they don’t count.” He then added, which made me frown.
“What do you mean?” I had to ask, as realised this was something they should have told me about first.
“Nothing impossible, Matt.” Leo quickly answered, after nudging Jake in the side. “Your head just has to pass your hands. It’s not easy, but we’ve both done it, and it’s why we use this tree.” He then added, as I obviously looked dubious.
“He’s telling the truth, Matt. As much as it would be funny to make it harder, this is the best tree around here for this challenge.” Jake then added, with a surprisingly sincere tone.
“Okay, okay. So I just pull myself up, and then down, once my head reaches where my hands are?” I then asked, just to be sure. Although I kind of wanted to just start, as my boxers were really crushing my balls, and even my willy was being crushed.
“Yep, and I would get started now.” Jake answered, as they stepped a little further back.
Almost straight away, I realised just how badly this task was going to go for me. I wouldn’t call myself weak, but I also wasn’t that sporty. Sure, I liked playing football and stuff, and even wrestling.
However, hanging by my boxers, and trying to lift myself up like this. Well, I was already struggling on the first pull up. Although the pressure easing off my balls and willy, felt nice. As soon as I started lowering myself, the pain came straight back.
Jake chuckling, didn’t help either. Neither did the look of amusement on his face. At least Leo looked somewhat sympathetic. Although I could see he found it funny too. The second pull up, went the same as the first.
As feeling of relief, just for the pain and uncomfortable feeling to return as soon as I lowered myself back down. My arms were already burning a little. Well more than a little, and I honestly wasn’t sure if I could do 8 more.
“Oh man, he is cooked.” I heard Jake say, in an obviously amused tone, as I did the next couple of pull ups.
“Nah, he’s got this.” Leo quickly said, as he came to my defence. Although how my arms, balls and willy felt. I was leaning more on the side of Jake’s opinion.
The fifth and six pull up, definitely took their toll though. It was taking me longer to pull myself up, and I could also feel my boxers stretching more and more. Which meant my balls and willy got squeezed even more.
“Come on, Matt. Just 4 more to go. You can do it.” Leo then called out encouragingly.
“Or you can just give up, lose the 25 points, and draw more cards.” Jake then said, in the completely opposite of encouragingly.
Although I guess they both motivated me. Even if, that motivation was to prove Jake wrong. The next two pulls ups were hard though. Very hard, and I actually grunted each time I game back down. Which was less than gently, as my arms burned.
“Fuck!” Was all I could say though, as I felt my privates being crushed, and my biceps were burning.
“Ha! He might actually give up.” Jake called out mockingly, before I heard him grunt.
“Shut up, Jake.” I heard Leo say, after elbowing Jake in the side.
I almost chuckled at the sight, but I was actually worried that Jake was right. My arms felt like jelly, and I found myself wondering what actually happened if I couldn’t complete the task. Was Jake being honest about the points and card draws. I honestly couldn’t remember.
“Oh, I know that look, Leo. He’s thinking about it, and don’t you dare elbow me again. You know that look too.” Jake then said, as I shock my head. Even though he was right, but there was no way I could give in. I only had 2 more pull ups to do.
“Matt, come on. Just 2 more. There’s no way you want to end up on 0 points, and have to pull 2 more cards. Just dig deep.” I then heard Leo say, before clapping his hands in encouragement.
Which did help a little bit, but also confirm what would happen if I couldn’t do it. The smirk on Jake’s face however, gave me a boost. There was no way I wanted to prove him right, and grunted, as I forced myself up.
It took me longer than I wanted or needed it to take, but I managed it. However, I cursed and winced, as I lost my grip, and fell back down hard. Hard enough that my feet actually touched the ground, and I heard my boxers rip a little bit.
“Shit, fuck….” I called out, as I bounced up a little and hung there. My definitely ruined boxers, really digging into my balls now.
“Oh wow, that had to hurt.” I heard Jake say, with a low whistle.
“You okay, Matt?” I then heard Leo ask.
I was in too much pain to answer though. That really hurt, and the pain wouldn’t go away, because of the hanging wedgie. I felt like an idiot for thinking this was going to be an easy task. Right now, I would take streaking through the school naked, over this. Even if I knew I didn’t really mean that.
“It’s okay to give in, Matt.” Jake then told me, and even though I was in pain, and distracted. It didn’t take a genius to know he was enjoying this and hoping I would give in.
“Seriously, Jake?” Leo asked him, with a dirty look. Which I appreciated, but it wasn’t going to help me finish the task.
Trying to use the pain, and also the annoyance at Jake. I reached up, and managed to grab to the knots on the tree again. I grunted, as I pulled myself up. Well, I tried to pull myself up, before grunting in pain, as I slumped back down.
“Come on, Matt. You can do it.” I heard Leo call out, while I tried again to pull myself up.
“Don’t think anyone has failed this task for a while.” I then heard Jake saying, with a smug look on his face.
“Fuck… off!” I called out in frustration. Which turned out to be a mistake, as I lost concentration, and again slumped down. My balls and willy were really aching now, and I knew I was in trouble.
“Seriously, Jake. Shut up, and stop being a dick.” I heard Leo tell him, but I was lost in the aching in my groin, and once again tried to pull myself up.
“Just motivating him.” I just about heard Jake say, but my arms were burning too much to react to him.
They were shaking so much, and burned too. I knew if I couldn’t do it this time, that I wouldn’t be able to do it. Something that was both embarrassing, and pathetic. I should be able to do this, and kept pushing myself.
I could hear them talking to each other. Well, more like bickering, but I was in my own world. I was so close to doing it, but it was so hard. I was grunting out load now, but I didn’t care. I had to do this, and put everything into it.
Which turned out to be a double edged sword, because while I managed to succeed. In my moment of triumph, I forgot what I was doing. My dumbass let go off the knots I was using to pull myself up with, and with a sharp pain exploding around my groin, and a fair few swear words.
I was on the ground, with my hands cupped around my balls and willy. While a large amount of my boxers hung from the knot they had been pulled over. I could hear someone laughing their ass off, and knew it was Jake.
While someone. Who I assumed was Leo, was rubbing my shoulder. “Jeez, you okay, Matt?” He was asking me, but I was in too much pain.
It wasn’t excruciating, and while it did hurt. I was pretty sure I would be fine, but I wasn’t going to move for at least few minutes. At least not until the throbbing in my balls eased up. Maybe wedgie challenges really were worse than just being naked. I thought to myself once again.
After what seemed like hours, I finally managed to get up enough to sit up. The first thing I noticed was that my boxers were ruined. I could see that almost half of them were actually hanging from the knot in the tree.
“Feeling better?” I heard Leo then ask me, as I slowly got up. My balls still ached, and throbbed a bit though.
“No, but I did it right?” I asked in response. I was too tender, and tired to worry lie about feeling okay. I just wanted to make sure I had at least got the points.
“Yep, and I got some good photo’s too.” Jake answered a little too gleefully for my liking. Especially since I had forgotten all about the pictures.
“Damn, I forgot about those.” I said, as I reached behind myself. “Shit, they’re ruined.” I then said, with a shake of the head, as I felt more skin, than underwear.
“That’s why we told you to bring a spare set of clothes. You can go change your underwear, after you decide which picture you’re going to upload.” Jake then told me, with a smirk that let me know that he was loving every second of this.
“What’s wrong?” I then heard Leo ask, after my eyes had gone wide.
I had just realised that I had only brought a pair of shorts and another top to wear. I hadn’t even bothered with socks or a jumper. Let alone another pair of underwear. “I er… didn’t bring any underwear.” I then had to admit.
“Ha! What an idiot!” Jake quickly said, before laughing loudly.
Even Leo was shaking his head, with a little grin on his face. “He’s not wrong, Matt. But can’t do anything about it now, so come and look at these photos and pick one. Then you might as well get rid of the rest of your boxers, and just go commando.” He then told me, as I blushed.
“Commando? No way!” I protested, but the look on both their faces was enough to make me realise I didn’t have any other options. Unless I wanted to go home and change. Which I guess I could do.
“I mean, you’re pretty much going commando already, Matt. At least by how much of your boxers are still hanging off the tree knot.” Jake then pointed out, while trying not to laugh again.
I couldn’t help but turn to look, and he wasn’t wrong. Somehow the elastic hadn’t been torn off. It was still around my waist. Although stretched. I guess they hooked my boxers wrong or something, but it didn’t help that much.
I could feel the fabric of my jeans against both my butt cheeks. Which meant my boxers were now basically a glorified loin cloth. Which wouldn’t hide anything if I moved or the wind picked up. Well, if I took my jeans off, but that wasn’t going to happen.
“Jeez, Matt. You really need to lighten up. Look come look at the photos, and pick one. Then you can go change in the den, although I would change out of your jeans too. Hopefully you brought joggers or shorts, because they will be more comfortable.” Jake then told me, as I just stood there.
“Fine, but you both have to wait outside.” I answered in a more sulky tone, than I had intended. Which just made me blush even more, and them both chuckle.
“Just come pick a picture.” Jake then told me, as I gingerly walked over to him, and looked at his phone.
Thankfully, despite it still being embarrassing to upload a picture of myself. I didn’t think any looked really that bad. Well, my face looked pretty embarrassing in them, but I bet anyone doing this task would have the same expression.
I picked one that I thought was the least embarrassing one, and despite the aching in my balls. I was pretty happy with the fact I did another challenge. Well, not completely happy. I had only been here two days, and had ruined two pairs of underwear.
Something that I needed to be a lot more careful with, because my mum was bound to notice. Two pairs should be fine, but if I lost or ruined many more. She would definitely be asking questions, and that’s not a conversation I wanted to have.
“So go get changed, or at least ditch the ruined boxers, Matt.” Leo then told me, after he had sent me the photo, and I had uploaded it.
“Or he could just draw his final card, and get it out of the way with now.” Jake then suggested, just as I was about to head back inside their den. Making me pause, and look at him in surprise.
“Why would I do that?” I couldn’t help but ask, as I wondered why he brought it up.
“Why not? Maybe you will get a task that you would rather do as you are. It’s not like you can’t change after you draw the card. So why not save a bit of time?” He quickly explained, and while I wasn’t completely convinced. He had a decent point.
“Up to you, Matt. You have to do one more card pull anyway. Although maybe you want to give your little balls a chance to recover, just in case.” Leo then suggested, after I had looked at him.
“Hate to say it, but Leo has a point. After my spade tasks yesterday and today, I wanted a break.” Jake then said. Which actually caught me off guard, and even Leo looked a little surprised. “What? I’m not always a dick.” He then added, after obviously noticing our reactions, and we all laughed.
“Okay, but just so I understand. If I draw a card now, I don’t have to do it right now. Right? Like I just have to do it before the day is over?” I then decided to ask, after thinking about it. I didn’t want to do another task, but it would be nice to get my last one done and out of the way.
“Unless the task specifically gives a time limit, which is very rare. You just have to complete them on the same day you draw the card.” Leo answered, with a slightly surprised expression.
“So you’re really going to draw?” Jake then asked me, with a small grin that made me second guess my decision.
“I mean, it would get it out of the way with, but er… okay. I will do it now, and probably wait until later to do it.” I responded with a more confident tone, than I was feeling inside.
“Cool, but instead of getting the cards. Want to draw from the site? You have your phone.” Jake then suggested, and I couldn’t help but be confused for a few moments. Until I remembered that they had said you could use the site to draw cards.
“Yeah, but you’re going to have to show me.” I answered, before thinking about something. “But, I don’t want to just accidentally draw one, so explain it before I click whatever I will have to click.” I then said, looking more at Leo, than Jake.
Over the next few minutes, Leo showed me where the random card draw section was. It was actually a lot more in depth, than I thought it would be. I had just assumed it would be a page with a button to press.
Instead, it was a whole page with links to the rules, and different tasks. So you could look them all up, and after clicking a couple to see. I also realised it linked to the galleries for each task, and there were previous years as well.
“So, once I click the button. That’s it? I get that task, and the site knows, and other members that happen to be online or check the site know?” I found myself asking, after wondering if it was such a good idea.
“Yeah, but don’t sweat it, Matt.” Jake then said, with a smirk. Which caught me a little off guard. “I can read you like a book, Matt. You’re thinking about what would happen if other members saw you had a task, and what that could mean.” He then added, as my eyes went a little wide.
“Well, couldn’t they interfere or maybe try and watch?” I had to ask, as I tried not to get paranoid about his comment about reading me easily.
“Nothing against the rules for them to do that. However, they would need to know where you were. So it’s unlikely.” Leo answered this time.
It was a decent point. Even though I didn’t like the fact that if people knew where you were. They could turn up. Especially as the few tasks I had been a part of so far, had per person there stipulations.
However, right now. No one knew we were here, and the chances of someone stumbling on us or guessing. That were members of the game, and just happened to be checking the active task section on the site. Were very low, and it kind of made up my mind.
“So just to be sure. Even if I do it online. I still have all day to do it?” I then felt like I had to ask.
I was still wondering if I had gone insane over the last day or so, but I had joined up now, and so far I had to admit. I had fun, even if the task I just did hurt, and my balls were still aching. So, so far it felt like it wasn’t as bad as I feared it would be.
“Unless you’re unlucky and get a timed one, but to be honest. I don’t remember there being any this year, but I can’t remember them all.” Leo answered, with a shrug.
“Go on, Matt. Just press it, and get yourself another 25 points.” Jake then said, with a grin, that left me in no doubt that he was just hoping I pulled an embarrassing task.
“Okay.” I then said, as my finger hovered over the button. “Hey!” I then protested, as Jake nudged my elbow, and my finger hit the button.
He just laughed in response, as we all stared at the screen to see what card appeared. I couldn’t help but be nervous, as I prayed that it wasn’t a heart or anything embarrassing. It felt like forever, as the digital deck of cards shuffled, before one separated from the deck.
“Oh, it tells you what the task is…” I then started to say, as the 6 of clubs appeared. However, as I looked at the challenge title. Which read ‘Fun with pegs’ I read what the club variation said.
“It’s not that bad. What’s up with you?” I then heard Jake asking me, as I gulped.
“Yeah, I mean, it will probably hurt a little, but you only have to strip down to… oh.” I then heard Leo start to say, before he obviously worked it out.
“Oh! This is awesome.” Jake then said, after clearly working it out.
“What am I supposed to do. I am not going naked!” I quickly asked, in a slightly panicked tone.
The task itself, was hardly one I was looking forward to doing. Even if I had underwear that I could wear right now, but it was doable, and I didn’t think pegs. Even with weights on them, would be that bad.
“Well, you have a couple of opt…” Leo then started to answer, before Jake cut him off.
“Okay, Leo. I know you’re being all nice, but I will handle this.” Jake said, before turning to me. “Right, option one, you do it naked. That is the official rule for this situation. Option two, go home and get some. Option three, you could also make a deal with one of us to borrow ours.”
“What?” I couldn’t help but ask, as I was still a little flustered thinking about having to do it naked.
“Yep, if a task says underwear only. You either do it in underwear or naked if you’re going commando. Option two, we can head back to yours, but remember, the task has to be outside, and we could bump into other members.” Jake explained, while grinning.
I couldn’t help but gulp, as I thought about both of those options. Number one was definitely out, but option two while better, came with a risk. I would have to get home, and then come back here. Without bumping into other members of the game.
And given my luck, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to risk it or not. The chances were low, but not impossible. I then remembered the third option, and frowned. If it was just Leo, I was sure it wouldn’t be a problem.
Jake however. Had already got me to draw a card, just to use his internet. Although I had to take the blame on that, for not realising that I could have just used my phone to complete the registration. So I couldn’t help but be a little apprehensive.
“Well, I am not doing option one. Option two is okay. What about option three though, will one of you let me borrow your underwear?” I then asked, as I tried to not show how nervous I was.
“Come on, Leo.” Jake then suddenly said, just as Leo was about to say something. Which definitely made my nervousness grow.
“Fine, you go first though.” Leo then said, after a few moments. The look on his face, let me know that I wasn’t going to get an easy way out.
“First up. You have to decide. Option one, two or three.” Jake then asked me, before I could even think about trying to convince them to just lend me a pair of underwear.
I had already ruled out the first option. I now had to decide if it was worth risking going home. It was around 10am now. So other kids would definitely be about, but what were the chances they would be members, and also know about my task?
That was the question I kept going over. The trip here, wasn’t exactly that public, but what if the any of my new neighbour kids knew about the task, and were keeping an eye out to see if I left the house. Because they would assume I was home.
That made me think of LilRed, or Suzie. If she had checked out the site, and saw my task. Would she have called her friends. Would they all be waiting? I thought about the task. Could I be in just my underwear in front of all those younger girls?
I glanced at the task again on my phone. It would mean potentially six pegs, with weights. Then do ten star jumps for each of them. Which would mean sixty star jumps. I wanted to say no, but that would leave option three, and I didn’t trust Jake. Although Leo was a different story.
“Come on, Matt. You got to decide.” Jake then told me, as I looked between them both. Trying to get a read on them.
“If I pick option three. I get to decide between your offers? And they won’t just be the same or really bad, just to screw me over?” I decided to ask, after thinking about it a little bit more.
“I don’t know what Jake will ask for, but I promise I won’t give you the same offer.” Leo answered quickly, while giving Jake a pointed look.
“I am not going to screw you over, Matt. But I am not going to go super easy either, and I don’t expect you to go easy on me, if you ever get the chance.” Jake then said, and despite the fact I didn’t like any of this. He was at least being genuine.
“I am going with option two. I just know you’re going to ask me to draw more cards or something. Even you, Leo. So I can’t risk it.” I then said, after taking as long as I could to think it over.
I was still worried about being seen heading back home, and then back here. However, I was hoping that even if we did bump into other kids. The chances they would be members of the game, and then have checked the site, were low enough to outweigh whatever Leo and Jake came up with.
I hope he bumps in to many members who have read the dare and will add to the challenged - how much longer will he last without being exposed?

“Yeah, I was tempted, but be honest. You were definitely going to make me draw more cards, Jake, and I bet you were too, Leo.” I then said, after deciding to just be honest.
“I was just going to make you draw one card, and you had to change out here. Not in the den, but you could turn your back to us.” Leo then admitted, and I felt a sense of relief already at my decision.
“I guess it can’t hurt to tell you. 2 card draws, you would have to change in front of us out here. No hiding either, and I was going to make you wear the underwear I had on right now. While I wore my spare pair.” Jake then said, as my eyes went wide.
Yeah. I definitely made the right decision. Leo’s was embarrassing enough, but Jakes. His was both more embarrassing, and gross. I didn’t want to wear the underwear he had been wearing. So yeah, I definitely didn’t regret going with option two now.
“So, do you want to go get them now, or wait until later? We can just hang out for a while.” Leo then asked me, and I had to take a few moments to think about it.
If I went now. I was pretty sure my parents would still be home. They might still be home if I waited until later though. I guess it wasn’t a big deal, because it wasn’t like I had to tell them what I was doing. I could just say I forgot something.
The other issue was the chances of bumping into other kids, that might be members, and may know I have an active task. However, I also was the new kid. I had only been here less than two days. I hadn’t actually met any other kids except for Leo and Jake.
So even if I did walk past some other kids. It wasn’t like they would know who I was. Although I guess if they didn’t recognise me, they might think new kid, and work it out like that. Which was possible.
“I might go now, and get it out of the way with. You okay with going now?” I decided to answer, as I still figured less kids would be walking around this time of the day.
“Going now? I’m staying here.” Jake quickly responded, with a grin. Which caught me off guard.
“Leo?” I quickly asked, as I was a little worried. I don’t know why, but I just assumed they would both walk with me.
“I do need to head home myself to get some weighted pegs. We don’t have any of those here.” He answered, and I relaxed a little bit, but then he continued. “So we can walk most of the way, and then we can meet at the same spot, to head back here.”
“Oh, right. I guess that makes sense.” I quickly said, after thinking about it. “Unless I just walk to yours, then we go to mine?” I then decided to ask, as I thought about it a little more.
“Nah, it’s quicker if we just go to our own houses.” He answered, as I found myself nodding.
I didn’t really have a reason to argue or protest. Well, I did, but I wasn’t going to risk sounding like a chicken by admitting that I was a little worried about bumping into other members of the game. Especially Suzie and her friends.
“Get going then.” Jake then said, before heading towards the den. “Oh, and bring a spare pair of undies, Matt. You know, just in case.” He then said, as he glanced back with a grin.
“Dick!” I quickly retorted, but couldn’t help but shake my head and grin a little.
“Come on then. Sooner we go, the sooner we get back.” Leo then said, before we turned away from Jake and the den, and started walking back towards the main road.
We chatted a little bit, as we made our way through the woods. I was trying my best to remember the way, and tried to keep an eye out of anything I could use as a mark or waypoint. Well, whatever people would call that kind of thing.
The path we were taking, was obviously used a little. It wasn’t exactly a path, and there were branches you had to step over or around, and bushes and stuff. However, it was worn enough, that it was obvious people walked this way a bit.
I couldn’t help but ask him about the task, and the pegs. Especially since they would have weights on them, which was definitely a little worrying. However, he quickly reassured me that while they would hurt a little bit.
It wouldn’t be that bad, and he also told me that it would be better to not take too long once the pegs were on. As apparently when you took pegs off, especially on sensitive parts of your body. It actually hurt more sometimes.
Something I didn’t quite believe, but I didn’t think Leo would lie to me. If it were Jack, I would definitely think he was trying to trick me. So I was going to try and get the twenty jumping jacks over with as quickly as I could.
Eventually we made it out of the woods, and back on the main road. Where we walked a little further until Leo told me he needed to head off to his house now. I was still a bit unsure why we needed to split up, but I really didn’t good enough reason to insist on it.
He told me he would be back here in around fifteen minutes, which was plenty of time for me to get to my new house and back again. So with a nod to each other, we headed off in different directions. As I walked, I had to admit that this place wasn’t that bad.
Well, I had only met a couple of other people. Then there was the EKTG thing, which I was still considering whether I had gone insane for agreeing to play. Still, it seemed like a nice place to live, and I liked how quiet it seemed as well.
Despite all that though, I also missed my old home. Not just because it was all that I had known, and it was my home. Which was a big deal, but my friends too. I know I will still keep in touch with everyone, but it won’t last.
Eventually we will take longer and longer to respond to messages or send them. A thought that made me realise that I hadn’t even sent any messages yet. I hadn’t received any either, but to be fair, it had been like 24 hours.
It actually made me smile a little bit, because our friend group weren’t really that big on messaging each other. I had to wonder if we were all girls, would we have been texting constantly this whole time.
However, I should at least text Ben. Let him know I was okay, and maybe a bit about this place. Although I was definitely going to leave out anything to do with the EKTG. That would just be weird and embarrassing to try and explain.
I also should ask how things were there too. So I quickly pulled my phone out, and began to type out the message. While keeping half an eye on where I was going. I was still new here, and even though it wasn’t a long walk.
I didn’t want to somehow get lost, because that would be embarrassing. I also didn’t want to get run over or walk into anyone. That would definitely not go down well, or end well for me. A trip to the hospital or worse on my second day. Definitely not on my to do list.
After finishing the message and sending it, I couldn’t help but sigh in relief once I walked on to the cul-de-sac. The first thing I noticed. Well to be honest one of two things. Was our car wasn’t parked outside the house. Which meant they had already left for the day.
The second thing, was that there wasn’t anyone else around. So I hurried up a little to get into my new house as quickly as possible. I had half expected to see the old lady again. Although I had forgotten her name already.
Which I felt a little bad about, but I had been distracted at the time. I am sure it wouldn’t take me long to learn everyone’s name around here, but for my second day. I was pretty sure no one could hold it against me.
Unfortunately, just as I reached my new home, and started to walk down the path towards the front door. I heard someone call out to me, and I couldn’t help but cringe a little at what sounded like a girls voice.
