Since you say 90s phone cameras might not have been prevalent but cameras certainly existed, what was the attitude among boys? Were they shy or afraid of being photographed naked? Did you yourself ever get clicked like that?unread wrote: Sun Jul 26, 2026 11:19 pm Thank you.
Did you know you were going to be naked in front of everyone the first summer you arrived there, or was it a shock when Grandpa told you to immediately disrobe?
I had zero idea. My uncle didn't say a single word about it during the whole drive. When we walked into the village and I saw those local boys strolling down the middle of the road, three of them completely stark naked and the other wearing just faded briefs, it definitely gave me a really funny, surreal feeling in my stomach, but I just figured it was some bizarre local quirk of theirs and didn't think much past it. I certainly didn't think it applied to me. So when Grandpa flat-out ordered me to strip the second we arrived, it was a massive shock. My uncle didn't say a word. I peeled off my shirt, shorts, shoes, and socks, standing in just my underwear as a compromise. But Grandpa's eyes narrowed, and he barked at me to take that off too. I instinctively crossed my arms and tried to use my hands to cover my privates, but Grandpa snapped at me instantly to drop my hands and stand uncovered.

At 16/17, the girls would be having a lot of sexual interest in the boys.

Cameras were still expensive, bulky luxury items for that part of the country, brought out only for major life events like weddings. Nobody in the village had the spare cash, and frankly, nobody had the inclination. Why waste money on capturing a frozen image of a muddy lane or a group of naked boys hauling timber? Because of that economic reality, I genuinely don’t remember a single person ever taking a photograph in the village during the entire time I was there. There were no tourists wandering up those clay-stone tracks, and the locals certainly weren't documenting their daily chores. A camera lens would have felt as out of place there as a television set or a sports car. The exception didn't happen until around my fourth summer coming back to the village. My uncle took a before and after picture.

Yes, as we got older, that kind of interest definitely happened. Still, the traditions and social life didn't accept open relationships very much, so it often happened in secret or somehow hidden away.
Even with all the strict rules, you could still see the typical signs when hanging out, or notice them when your friend was off seeing his "girlfriend" like an erection showing up more often. Around that same time (maybe even before), everyone's bodies got a lot more active, so an erection wasn't just a random, mindless reaction of your body anymore; you actually knew why it happened and what was driving it.

Re: How I spent my childhood summers in the countryside
You mentioned pubic hair being shaved so I assume at least 13-14?
Details about the shaving, Grandma actually did it from start to finish mostly, making the whole routine intensely awkward with a teenage body reacting involuntarily, leaving you standing there completely exposed while an erection throbbed right through the process. Once she gave you a sharp pat on the thigh and sent you away, the sheer tension left you totally wired, so you usually ended up frantically jerking off behind the barn just to shake it off

thats not discipline its abuse.....unread wrote: Sun Jul 26, 2026 1:51 pm I spent every school year living with my uncle, but the two summer months belonged entirely to my grandparents in a village at the foot of the mountains near the border. It was a very underdeveloped part of the country, with only one proper road and dirt tracks that felt like they belonged to another century. From the moment I arrived I was expected to stay naked the whole time, which was normal for boys in the village girls wore clothes, but boys often went around bare or in just briefs. Life there was hard work, not a holiday: gardening, fieldwork, cold rainwater baths at dawn, and meals that were mostly leftovers eaten standing in a corner. Discipline was strict and physical; I was spanked regularly for unfinished work, unfinished plates, or simply for not meeting expectations. My hair was cut extremely short every Saturday and even my pubic hair was shaved. Those summers shaped a large part of how I grew up — rough, disciplined, and completely different from ordinary childhood.

Were you naked for the before/after pictures? And how did you feel when it was being clicked?
Did you try to get rid of the pictures later or does your family still keep them

Re: How I spent my childhood summers in the countryside
Yes, I was naked for both the before and after pictures, which were taken while I was standing on the porch or front yard of my grandparents house. When the before picture was taken, I felt weird and put on display, but by the time of the after picture, I was used to being naked so it wasn't that big of a deal. My uncle was the one who took the pictures, so I don't know what ultimately happened to them. When he died many years later, I didn't really search for them, so it's possible they are still somewhere in his belongings.Freesub wrote: Mon Jul 27, 2026 1:28 pm Were you naked for the before/after pictures? You should look into it if you get the chance, there aren't many other pictures of you naked around that age, I assume?unread wrote: Mon Jul 27, 2026 2:06 pmYes, I was naked for both the before and after pictures, which were taken while I was standing on the porch or front yard of my grandparents house. Re: How I spent my childhood summers in the countryside
I know what you mean, and for some reason, it definitely brings up some nice nostalgia (more or less). But right now, I just don't feel like doing it. When my parents died and I was sent to live with my uncle, my life wasn't all that great. So even if I managed to search for those pictures and find them, I might end up seeing or stumbling across other things I'd rather not see. No, there aren't many pictures of full nudity.Freesub wrote: Mon Jul 27, 2026 3:38 pmYou should look into it if you get the chance, there aren't many other pictures of you naked around that age, I assume?unread wrote: Mon Jul 27, 2026 2:06 pmYes, I was naked for both the before and after pictures, which were taken while I was standing on the porch or front yard of my grandparents house. Understandable. How many other pictures of you fully naked around that age do you have?unread wrote: Mon Jul 27, 2026 4:09 pmI know what you mean, and for some reason, it definitely brings up some nice nostalgia (more or less). Also, when you finally got old enough to stop being naked, how did it feel suddenly wearing clothes over there?
