Forgot my pe shorts

Another little embarrassing story from PE: I couldn't find my black PE shorts in the morning, so I bought a pair that were exactly the same as the school PE shorts, except they were white. By bringing in my own shorts, it meant I only got a warning instead of a detention for forgetting my PE kit. I had no idea that the shorts were see-through in the sun, so when we got outside for PE, I got a lot of comments about my red pants being visible through the white shorts If I knew that was the case, I would have worn white pants.

Of all the colour pants to be wearing, red is pretty much the worst through white shorts, it's so bright and attention grabbing! And it's a pretty embarrassing colour anyway, I certainly would never wear red pants to school, especially on a PE day. It's slightly better than yellow, in my opinion, and obviously cartoon patterns, but not by much

Not really that embarrassing but in 11th grade I joined the track team. In warmer weather I ran in blue shorts with (usually) white compression pants as underwear. Frequently the compression underwear was longer than the shorts & thus showed as I was running the course near the school.

At the public track meets on Saturdays I tried to select underpants which would not potentially show below my running shorts. Jock straps would have been the best solution but by the time I was in high school they had fallen out of favor among young guys. I did that once and got some teasing in the lockerroom before & after the meet.
