Do you think self embarrassment would work as a concept for a story?
I'm absolutely not a writer, so I was thinking about an idea for an ENM story, but the character isn't being humiliated by the others, quite the contrary, the characters are nice to him, so is more a self embarrassment about being the only one who's nude and for the craziness of the situation, from the character pov the whole situation is ludicrous so he can't grasp why everyone seems ok with it.
I was thinking about something like this:
an 11 year old boy is sent to expend the summer with some of his parent's friends, but for some reason the airline lost his luggage, so he arrives to the friend's home with no clothes besides the ones he's wearing.
Then for some reason, the friends decided that isn't a big deal, he could just be nude, or maybe the friends talked to his parents about it, and actually offered to buy clothes for him, but his parents thought that's abusing their kindness, so the kid has to be nude because his parents say so.
The kid has to expend most of the time with the friend's daughter, a 16 or 17 year old girl, she'll be teasing a bit about how he'll get a full tan, or how now she'll get to known him really well this summer, however the girl is a really welcoming person, she's genuinely happy about the kid visiting them, so she'll do thinks like take the kid for icecream or to the arcade machines.
The kid wouldn't get spankings but the friends and their daughter think his ass is really cute, so he's getting a lot of firm affection pats or a pinch in his butt cheeks.
And for some reason, the town, is a beach town btw, has no issues with the kid being nude, if anything they compliment him for his self confidence.
Do you think that concept can work?

Re: Do you think self embarrassment would work as a concept for a story?
I'd say self-imposed nudity, "self-embarrassment" would work, but that's not actually what you're proposing as you give more details. If the parents decide for the kid he needs to stay naked, then no matter how "nice" everyone around him is about it, he's being paraded around naked and humiliated through no fault of his own, it's not self-imposed.
A story like that, being stuck naked, no one is really being malicious, but he still has to go around naked, and because he's young and not very developed, would work. It doesn't feel too different from many stories already existing here, though.
I think a story where *he* refuses the kind offer of new clothes being bought for him, maybe because he'd rather they spend the money on something else (a visit to a water park? Something else he's been looking forward to...?) so he stays naked by choice, finds it more embarrassing than he thought he would but then even as they see him blushing and squirming, he decides to be stubborn (that might need some plot reason/explanation...) and stays naked. This latter, consensual take is not something I normally enjoy, but it sure would be different/more original, and an interesting psychological exploration.
Either way, you don't have to be a writer before you have a go at writing a story. Write one, do your best, make it only as long/short as you can manage and see what happens. People are writers because they write/keep writing, not by some magic decree—have a go and you'll become a bit of a writer just by the virtue of that, that would be my main advice. (And I'm not alone; see for example S. King's memoir On Writing...)

Re: Do you think self embarrassment would work as a concept for a story?
Thanks for your feedback!
My idea is like the kid is a character from "our world" he operates under the real world logic, he's embarrassed about being paraded nude around the town, and in some sense his embarrassment isn't only about his nudity, is from how ridiculous is the situation, like do everyone lost their minds?
The other characters belong to the story's world, they operate under a ridiculous logic.
I was thinking about a scene like this, he meets a local girl of the same age, they become friends with each other, the girl casually ask him why he's nude, he'll tell her about the airline losing his luggage and the girl be like that's totally normal, it happened to hers once, I mean in the story's world airlines are sloppy, they often lost people's luggage, so millions of people around the world are walking nude with no issue at all, so the other characters are oblivious to his embarrassment, because in this world there are situations where going nude is justified and even expected.
The other characters are more like amused by the kids behavior, in their minds he has nothing to be embarrassed for, if anything they found the kid's embarrassment like a cute personality quirk.

Re: Do you think self embarrassment would work as a concept for a story?
The concept absolutely works, at least for me. In fact I prefer these types of stories over the ones where other people are too mean and cruel to the main character. That can work for short stories but it's not my cup of tea. I prefer when the authority figures genuinely care about the character and only punish him because they want him to be better, or because he really messed up, truly deserves to be disciplined and he knows and accepts it.
I've been reading stories from the FNA (Forced Nudity Archive) site for quite a while and in one of my favorite ones the main character undergoes a "modesty training program" and has to stay naked at home and very occasionally in public. He's actually almost a role model, but he's excessively modest and shy. One of his friends, like a little brother to him, is in the program and he joins to make it easier for him. All the boys in the program are assigned a girl as a tutor that can discipline them if necessary. The girls in the story are mostly nice and supportive, but the boy is still extremely embarrassed, at least the first times he meets a different girl. Except a couple of hand spankings over the course of the story, he is never punished.
I digress... I know that what you're proposing is a different scenario, but my point is that it could perfectly work and I'd like to read it sometime! I prefer it when other characters are aware of the embarrassment but choose not to rub it in instead of just being oblivious, though.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll going to check the FNA site.
Maybe I need to focus more on the worldbuilding, the main character is embarrassed because how is mind operates, he is his own source of embarrassment, for the other characters he has no reason to be.
I was thinking in a scene like this, the host family show some pictures of their winter vacations to him, in that occasion they have to ski nude, the kid would cringe because obviously they have to be freezing, but since the characters operate with the crazy rules, that didn't matter, from the characters pov the kid may be missing his parents or something like that, because for them being embarrassed about your nudity because a lost luggage doesn't make any sense, they wouldn't pressure the main character, in their pov he would share what's worrying him when he's ready. I mean the others characters just can't process his logic.

I have explored the area of nudity as peer pressure, when others are happily naked and wonder why the "New" kid is so embarrassed.
Imagine being fifteen years old, and you are spending time with your best friend and his family. This family takes you to a nudist
resort. It's a shock to you, of course. Even though everyone else in the resort is naked, you find the first day at that place to be
nerve wracking and highly embarrassing. In the story I wrote, the friend signs the "New" kid up for the Talent Show, and the poor
lad has to get up on a stage in front of a hundred people to participate in a Magic Act.

That's sounds like a great story, and relatable too, do you published it in this forum?TeenFan wrote: Tue Oct 13, 2026 1:29 am I have explored the area of nudity as peer pressure, when others are happily naked and wonder why the "New" kid is so embarrassed.

Maybe the boy could be older than 11 so he has a good sized cock at least.

Could be lots of fun if arousal and many same aged girls are introduced
