Since I don't speak Russian, I am not entirely sure what the movie is about, but it appears to be about 2 children a boy and a girl, being hidden from Nazis.

The first scene starts around 22:50. Right before this scene at 22:00, it looks like the girl is planning on leaving their hiding spot but the boy stops her. Despite being smaller she easily pushes past him. He finally pushes the ladder she was going to use away and she he hits him and he appears to be crying or at the very least he just sits there and takes it. In my mind this is already setting up the girl as a very strong and dominant character.

The scene immediately after reinforced this as the boy is now being bathed by the man hiding them. He is completely naked as we see him from behind standing in the tub. The girl is there. She is not just standing there watching him be bathed, but is actually helping to wash him, sponging his back just above his bare bottom. The man rinses him off, wraps him in a towel and carries him out of the tub like a little boy and sits him down. The man disappears at some point and the boy and girl are alone.
We then see the girl, it is her turn to be bathed but she says something to the boy (wish I spoke Russian) before pulling a curtain closed. Although we (and the boy) can see the silhouette of her as she takes off her nightgown and bathes herself, neither the man nor the boy are bathing her. Putting myself into the boys character I found the whole scenario insanely embarrassing for the boy. First he was undressed and bathed like a little boy by the man and the girl, but she was able to bathe herself in private like a mature young woman. How humiliating for the boy.

The second scene of interest is at 26:00. Apparently immediately after being yelled at for not hiding, they are caught outside playing by the man. He gives the boy a bare bottom spanking with a belt with the girl watching. I always thought it so unfair. They were both outside playing, why was it just the boy who got spanked?

It's always interesting to think of movies like this both in terms of the characters as well as the actors. I can help but wonder how the boy felt having to be bare bottom in two scenes while his co-star remains fully clothed (unless I missed a scene somewhere).

I believe the movie may bounce from them as children and adults years later. Curious to know if my interpretation of the movie is accurate given I don't understand any of the dialogue.

In the second film, the Czech one, one of the young teen girls gets a good look at the boy actor. His back is turned to
the camera, but the girl gets to see him from the other side. I suspect there were multiple takes to get everything just
right. That boy would have been seen by one or both girls more than once.

At about the 26:00 mark the nuns are bathing the children. But the best scene is closer to 27:00 when one of the nuns goes to undress a boy about 8 or 9 years old for a bath. He resists, saying he is too old to be undressed by a girl. She offers him a chocolate bar if he will let her undress him. After some hesitation, he finally accepts and lets her strip him down and we see his bare bottom as she puts him in the tub.

Made in 1960, perhaps a more innocent time, but still find it amusing that the scene shows it's OK to let yourself be undressed in exchange for candy.

He's very comfortable without his clothes on, among the most at-ease I think I've seen. And it's amusing how the woman in the blue shirt makes a point of checking him out the way she does all the other men in the house.

True, the boy is believable as a nudist. And it makes sense, because after a bit of research, it turns out it was not the first time the actor (Lucas Martín) was naked on screen:

Dialogue frequently can add to the humiliation a character is suffering. I really wish I knew what she said to him as she pulled the curtain closed. He had to sit there, not being allowed to see her after she just saw him completely naked and helped bathe him. Boy must feel so ashamed.
