I certainly feel your pain/frustration about losing a story after working diligently on it. Happened to me recently on a presentation paper on CT Scan techniques that I was doing for my job. Damn Microsoft erased the entire thing because I hit some crazy Hot Key combination. Yes, I wanted to cry and actually did. My colleague Jeremy was no help..."just suck it up Nick & quit bawling" was what passed for his sympathy. "Then you write the fucking thing," I sobbed.
