The site seems to mostly work now once you get logged in fully, but you have to spam login attempts. Not the worst situation at least.

Here in the UK, I'm finding the site is usually fine if I try it during the day, but the later in the evening it gets, into the night, it's more likely to have issues. That would suggest there's at least some human element directing each of the DDoS attacks, since they're doing it at around the same time each day, rather than just unleashing some bots and leaving them to it or using an automated programme that randomises its attacks.
