site lag
Is anyone else having trouble with the site running extremely slow?
Like, logging in, scrolling, everything I click on takes forever to load, or I even get error messages.
Is this a site problem? Or a hardware/software problem on my end?

Re: site lag
Yes, experiencing exactly the same. Occasionally a message says it is unavailable because of weight of traffic ( unlikely ) or scheduled maintenance and to 'try later' but I think this is a spurious message.
This is obviously tedious but my main concern is that it may prefigure a complete loss of the site. Can admin shed any light ?

Re: site lag
I noticed it also.
I also noticed some stories are getting a lot of views.
Earlier there were a lot of search engine bots online. I assume they were scanning the pages.
Edit (they are still there):
Registered users: Bing [Bot], Buckaroo, Google [Bot], Google Adsense [Bot], Patcecas, Semrush [Bot], SixPathsKeyblader
Are we getting views from other parts of the world?

Re: site lag
Site has been bad for the last few days but it's been really bad today. Everything takes ages, constant crashes.
Is the site being targeted again? We saw at the start of the year the huge problems with bots posting constant spam. Is this another form of attack?
Hopefully this can be sorted out too because it's making the site very difficult to access or use.

Re: site lag
Yeah still really bad for me.
Over 1000 "guests" on the site at the minute. Something very dodgy going on.
