Still really bad for me.

Couldn't get onto the site for about 5 or 6 hours and it's still really slow now. Maybe it's taking time to adjust to new settings or something?

It's very laggy yes, but the accounts are currently working. I have finally been able to log in for more than a reply!

I can open messages and it doesn't do that same error. This is definitely a step in the right direction.

Now the lag just needs to be tackled. Seems it's bots again.

Yes, we're mostly covering like 90% of the attack, but it seems the remaining 10% of the attack is still a lot of pressure.

To put it in perspective, the site was so heavily bombarded with attacks that the host had to take the site down since we're on a shared server.

I still get this Forbidden

You don't have permission to access this resource.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

when I go to hit reply or hit the board index link that go back to the index.php file

Unable to access any other pages, every time it throws the 502 Gateway error. Experiencing this for the past 2 days, today I was able to access this page, earlier it didn't even load the homepage. Not to mention this slow load times in the past week and now this, please share if anyone knows the issue.

I have to post replies to this topic in order to be able to read the newest messages, because only the first page is accessible as of now.

What few messages I have read points to the fact that someone had initiated a DDOS attack on this site. Before this it was a bot spam attack on all topics for dubious links and now this.

Can someone confirm if my inference is correct or not, also the are other pages of this site accessible to everyone? Because I am only able to access the General Discussion page and the Homepage.

Massive DDOS attack, absolutely overkill for such a small forum and has been ongoing for 2 weeks now. The admin and server folks have been trying many things to fix it, including the new "are you human" verification that keeps popping up. Seems to be working much better tonight than it was last night, I couldn't do a DAMN thing last night on any device.

If anyone runs into the "Forbidden" issue, that can usually be bypassed by opening the link you want in a new incognito window a few times until you get lucky. New incognito windows are cookie and setting free so it seems to roll the dice fresh each time.

Wow, this is sad that someone feels the need to DDOS attack this site.

Firstly thanks to the Admin/s for their efforts to keep the site running and resolve the issues etc... much appreciated.

I've had the same issues as already reported by others - repeated failed efforts to login and once in repeated logout issues when trying to move around/navigate the site.

Maybe a coincidence but I've started checking the option "REMEMBER ME" when signing in (first checkbox below username/password).

With this box checked, once in it seems I can navigate around without any issues, access user control panel, no delay or lag etc etc etc. As I say, maybe it's simply a coincidence but for the past 48hrs by signing in like this it seems to be working for me.

Thought I'd share...

I’ve always used that checkbox. I assumed most people did as I simply can’t imagine many decent reasons you wouldn’t unless it’s a shared device and you don’t want other users of the device getting into your account.

I’ve been having that problem myself, though, and it frequently still logged me out between uses anyway.
