A collection of real life accounts of males who have been strip searched or processed by females.


On January 19, 2023, male plaintiff was arrested in Nevada County, California and transported to the sheriff’s department in Sacramento County by female defendants Griggs and Edwards.
On route to Sacramento County’s sheriff’s office, defendants Griggs and Edwards made a detour to Bridging Evidence Assessment and Resources (“BEAR”) clinic where they escorted plaintiff to an empty exam room and closed the door. In the exam room, defendant Vickers, the medical director and a doctor at BEAR clinic, asked to see the search warrant before conducting any procedures. Defendant Griggs responded that she had left it but had the charge sheet. Defendant Vickers
responded that “[the charge sheet] will work” and did not review a search warrant to determine the scope of the search before conducting any procedures. When plaintiff stated he did not consent to any procedures, defendant Griggs responded, “this is a procedure for this type of case.” Despite the lack of a search warrant, plaintiff’s consent, or exigent circumstances Vickers’
(1) ordered plaintiff to open his mouth and pull his pants and underwear down to his knees and expose his genitals and buttocks, and (2) swabbed plaintiff’s penis, scrotum, and inside of his mouth with Q-tips. Because defendants Griggs, Edwards, and Vickers created a triangular “blockade” around plaintiff and Griggs and Edwards had guns, plaintiff asserts he complied under duress. While plaintiff’s genital area and buttocks were exposed, Vickers stood about three feet away, Griggs sat about four feet away, and Edwards sat about six feet away. Neither Griggs nor Edwards tried to remove themselves from the exam room
or turn away from plaintiff’s exposed genitals and buttocks.
Defendant Vickers allowed them to watch the entire procedure.

As a result of defendants’ actions, plaintiff alleges he suffered “substantial humiliation, severe mental anguish, severe emotional distress, nightmares, and fear of white female officials.”

A teenage boy claims to have stripped off all his clothes naked in the street - after two girls waving a knife ordered him to.

Suffolk Police say the young man was robbed of his clothing but that it's possible the girls wanted to humiliate him by leaving him stark naked in front of passers-by.

The 18-year-old youth told detectives he was approached by the teenage girls in London Road North, Lowestoft, at about 3.30pm.

They threatened him with a small knife and told him to remove his clothes and hand them over.

A youth stripped off all his clothes on a sun-scorched street because two girls waving a knife ordered him to.

He complied with the demands and was said by police to have been left 'shaken but unhurt' as he struggled to protect his modesty.

The two girls fled with his clothing and he contacted police while also trying to find some replacement clothes.

A 15-year-old girl was arrested on suspicion of robbery a few hours later and taken to Great Yarmouth Police investigation Centre for questioning.

From April through June of 2019, Plaintiff was incarcerated at Downstate Correctional Facility (“Downstate”). Robert Morton, Jr. is the superintendent of Downstate and is responsible for the medical procedures and practices that are employed by the medical staff.” Odeniyi is a nurse practitioner. During his incarceration, Plaintiff was required to undergo a medical assessment by the facility’s medical staff. Part of the assessment
involved a physical examination and Plaintiff was assigned Odeniyi. Plaintiff is a Muslim man and believes the Qur’an prevents him from exposing or allowing the opposite sex
to touch his awrah, the area of his body between the navel and the knees. Plaintiff objected to being examined by Odeniyi and stated his religion forbid a member of the opposite sex from viewing or touching his awrah, but his objection was ignored. Plaintiff was
instructed to put on a gown that had an opening in the back. During the examination, Plaintiff was directed to lift up the gown and lower his boxers so Odeniyi could examine his testicles, which she placed in her hands. Plaintiff was also instructed to stand
and bend at the waist so Odeniyi could examine his back, exposing him. The door to the examination room remained open during the examination, and other male inmates and staff
were able to observe. Plaintiff alleges Morton received complaints from other Muslim inmates related to the female medical staff, he but refused to rectify the issue.

Defendants Pantoja, Payan, Rubin, Selbach, Wood, and Yoder were female correctional officers at CCI during the relevant time period, and they were present for or involved in the unclothed body searches of the male inmates at issue on one or more occasions between May 20, 2007, and August 30,
2007, as described below.

On May 20, 2007, Defendants Pantoja and Wood were present during an unclothed body search of inmates during yard recall. Defendants Pantoja and Wood were approximately two to four feet away from Plaintiff, searching other inmates’ clothing at the table next to Plaintiff, while a male officer was giving the search directives. During the search, Defendant Selbach, who was armed, was in the building 3 gun tower no more than approximately fifteen feet away, directly observing the searches.

On June 27, 2007, Defendant Yoder was searching clothing at the table next to Plaintiff’s table, approximately three feet away, and Defendant Selbach was directly observing the search from the gun tower.

On July 17, 2007, Plaintiff sought counseling/therapy from the institutional clinical psychologist for the anxiety he experienced as a result of the strip searches.

On July 24, 2007, Defendant Selbach gave Plaintiff the search directives and searched his clothing while two male officers jeered and chuckled at Plaintiff and other inmates.

On July 25, 2007, Defendant Rubin gave Plaintiff the strip search directives, which included pulling back the foreskin of his penis, and searched his clothing. No other officers were present at the table with Defendant Rubin, although there were other officers in the general area providing coverage.

On August 1, 2007, Defendant Selbach was positioned in the gun tower, observing the searches.

On August 22, 2007, Defendant Payan gave Plaintiff the strip search directives while a maleofficer searched his clothing.

On August 24, 2007, Defendant Rubin was stationed in the gun tower during yard recall and release, directly observing the searches.

Finally, on August 29, 2007, Defendant Selbach gave Plaintiff the search directives and
searched his clothing while Defendant Payan was searching inmates’ clothes two tables away.
