She's not conventionally attractive, but to me that just gives the first scene added verisimilitude. That her nipples show through the nightgown helps.

And while there's a blackface aspect of it that probably isn't intended, the shoe polish is certainly one way to make sure one person has touched another everywhere, and the hide-and-seek turned smear-the-shoe-polish-all-over-the-other-person is pretty erotic in an abstract way. Pity the boy is obviously in bikini briefs once he's out of bed though.
