Chapter 5 – Conspiracies

Then, a few days ago, Val approached Emma again and asked how things were going. Emma told Val that she had completed the task. She asked Val, whether she would be allowed to join the squad now.

Val told Emma that she did a great job but that she wasn’t done yet. She told her that the real challenge was yet to come. And that was to make Amy visit the waterpark with her and that she had to make her do something very embarrassing. Emma was surprised and asked Valerie what she meant.

“Come on Amy, you can do it. Just think of it as a fun prank,” Emma said trying to give Amy some courage.

“Yeah, don’t be a prude killjoy!” Hannah said laughing.

You asked if readers would notice in chapter 5 if there was a downgrade from your previous chapters? I personally think the opposite is true. Chapter 5 was an upgrade, in my humble opinion.

I enjoyed this chapter very much. The details about the backstory explaining Emma's motivation and her willingness to expose her friend, Amy, was very well told and added plausibility to the story that hadn't existed up to now. The added length is also much appreciated, though length isn't the most important aspect of a successful story. You asked if readers would notice in chapter 5 if there was a downgrade from your previous chapters? I personally think the opposite is true. Chapter 5 was an upgrade, in my humble opinion.

I enjoyed this chapter very much. The details about the backstory explaining Emma's motivation and her willingness to expose her friend, Amy, was very well told and added plausibility to the story that hadn't existed up to now. The added length is also much appreciated, though length isn't the most important aspect of a successful story.
