Perhaps this is a regional matter?

Not once growing up did I experience or know anyone who experienced rectal temperature taking. While I was nude before my pediatrician many times, and saw some nude boys and the occasional nude girl (always my age) at the clinic or during school physicals once or twice, not once did a thermometer go near someone's butt. The peer medical nudity was not seen as a big deal due to many of us skinny dipping at the town swimming hole, something the adults were all well aware we did because they did it in their youth too ah ha ha.

It was something I heard happening in fiction or from stories online many times, but it must not have been something which was practiced in my area growing up.

Shame though. I missed out.

A lot of these things seem to have a regional component, but there's also a time component also. I remember by the time I was 7-8 the rectal jars went away completely, right about the same time they briefly tried using the armpit method and then the digital thermometers came in.

I didn't like being exposed for the rectal method, and I even when I knew what was happening the physical sensation of insertion was still a surprise. But once it was in there was a certain something about just being still and calm with it there inside, especially when I was sick.

I guess it's similar, just in reverse (going in anyway). Given that the thermometer was so small, with a little vaseline it slips right in (which I guess accounts for the 'surprise' sensation) and then the feeling of it inside is much more vague than when your body tells you it's time to 'go'.

Well, this was all when I was around Kindergarten age so I didn't have a lot to compare it to. But at home or at the pediatrician's, whether it was a thermometer or a suppository there was vaseline involved so that's just how things went.

It is one thing to have a thermometer put up your bum, it is quite another to have a whole finger up your bum.

I was asked to submit to a prostate examination.

I had no idea what or where that was, nor what it involved.

The doctor had me lie on the examination couch, lower my trousers, and turn onto my side.

I couldn't begin to imagine what she was going to do, what was going on, what she wanted to see, or what was about to happen next.

I was aware that my bare bottom was facing her and that I was a more than a little exposed.

Suddenly, she parted my bottom cheeks, and I felt her first touch onto my anus, it was wet and cold. What on earth is going on here I thought. In the next moment, her finger was inserted fully deep into my anus. I gasped, I certainly did not expect that!
Her finger was fully withdrawn, I thought that it was all over, but, no, Finger fully in again, and out again, IN! OUT! several times!

She finger fucked my bum hole!

I didn't like it at first. But I certainly won't hesitate if I am offered a check again!
