As a kid I saw a ton of things at the giant outdoor swimming pool in my city (sharking was a trend, among other things), but the only beach-type thing I ever saw was seeing an attractive adult woman in her late 20s that my family knew while she was sunbathing topless when I was 9ish.

When I was 16 & on the school track team I got invited to a pool party in a teammate's backyard. Had on the usual board shorts type of swimsuit with a drawstring. Their pool featured a diving board. If I loosened the drawstring just a little bit, and then did a forward dive into the pool, my swimsuit tended to go down to my knees as I hit the water. I would quickly pull it back up before surfacing. As the afternoon wore on, I got bolder and started doing running dives off the board which caused the swimsuit to fall down below my knees. Then I would surface before pulling it up.
