This may sound like a silly question but I ask it sincerely -- for anyone who sleeps nude: How did it not drive you crazy?

I tried a couple of times in my late teens and early 20s to sleep naked but I couldn't handle it. Whenever I would move in the night, the sensation of my glans brushing against the sheets would either wake me immediately or else put my body into something very like a wet dream cycle. Waking up feeling that was pleasurable in the moment, and all. But after three nights of trying I would be so tired from lost sleep that I'd give up and go back to underwear so I could function at school or work the next day.

English ‘pants’ Buckaroo ;)
Means underwear over here, not trousers.
I knew this somewhere in my subconscious, but in my stories I've often referred to jeans (or trousers) as pants, as is customary in the U.S. In deference to our British readers, I will do my best to avoid that in the future.

Unless you are British, there are many pitfalls in attempting to avoid language differences. We watch American TV shows in the UK. Then again, I know that the Harry Potter books were edited in the US editions. For instance, characters went to the bathroom, not the toilet. In the UK, it's not unusual to have the bath and toilet in separate rooms.

When I write stories, I use British idioms throughout.

Hey Blondie! :)
Thanks for the reply, always great to hear from you.

Well, that’s amazingly generous of you, really thoughtful, but there’s honestly no need. I wouldn’t want or expect you to change your writing habits just for our benefit.

When I’m reading an American story I know what culture I’m in and that you don’t mean the same kind of ‘pants’ as us. In fact, when you think about it, you guys actually have it the right way round — they’re ‘underpants’ — literally: under pants

If, of course, you’re happy to stick to jeans and trousers instead of pants in your stores I certainly won’t complain! It definitely reads easier to my eye. (And if you wanted to go all the way, ‘sweatpants’ are ‘jogging bottoms’ over here :P ) But as I say, I wouldn’t expect you to change the words you use just for us Brits. Obviously, you’d need to if you wanted to write a story set over here, in which case I’d be more than happy to help you translate :D

I’ll also let you in to a little secret, when I read an American story, the first thing I do is copy it into Word and then replace all the ‘pants’ with trousers. Just lets me read smoothly without having to mentally translate as I go.

Anyway, thanks very much for the consideration, and by all means stick to jeans and trousers if you like :)

Hope all’s well in your world.
Best,
Bobby

Good idea! I'll try not to throw that off by writing a story strictly for the Brits and refer to underpants as pants. And I'll try not to use a sentence such as, "He pants for air when he cums." :D

In any case, I'll probably attempt to use jeans, trousers, or something along those lines unless pants just works better. Simple enough.

Until recently I didn't know what "trainers" were in British terminology. I guess they're what we call "sneakers" or athletic shoes of some type.

Ha, yeah, trainers are sneakers. Whenever I hear ‘sneakers’ I picture the wearer sneaking around on tiptoe like a cartoon thief or assassin

You get used to it🤷🏻
For me, it regulates my body temp, keeping me comfortable without getting pinched or stuck in clothing.
