A woman told me how she was stripped by paramedics when she was in middle school she was crossing the street at the high school to go to McDonalds. She tried to run across the street to catch up to her friends but ended up getting hit by a car. The car managed to stop before really hitting her essentially bumping the girl into the hood then onto to the road. The girl was knocked out when she hit the ground.

I guess when the paramedics showed up she was still unconscious so they cut her clothes off in front of everyone who was gawking at the accident. Why cut a person's clothes off you might ask? Standard procedure by paramedics when a person suffers trauma - especially when the person is unconscious when the paramedics arrive. They do this so that they won't miss an injury; areas of bleeding not visible by clothes; unknown fractures hidden by clothing, and to detect areas abdominal or pelvic internal swelling that might indicate internal bleeding.

Though it may seem that they could have waited until the victim was taken into the ambulance; time is of the essence, and a thorough evaluation must be done before the patient is moved - especially if they are unconscious.

So be careful out there - if you suffer a traumatic incident, you indeed might end up naked regardless of who is watching.

In most cases the paramedics will make an effort to cover the person's mid-section with a towel or blanket if they do an on-scene stripping. Depends on the situation and the attitude of the paramedics.

A friend of mine was knocked off his dirtbike while attempting a jump in a field. In the video his buddy took, the paramedics are seen stripping off his shirt, pants, & underpants on-scene, while a crowd gathers, but just manage to cover his genitals with a small towel. Any close observers there might have gotten a glimpse of his private parts before they got the towel in place. He later told us that he was in shock and pain & was not even thinking about who might be seeing his penis at that moment. When they got to the hospital, he was wheeled into the emergency room that way with the towel just barely in place.
